I often say this game is maybe 10% Aim, 10% Mechanics and 80% Positioning. This game is a great example of that. Unnecessarily ate two torps instead of one, expecting Bourgogne speeds out of my Richelieu, since I haven't played the Rich enough. Continunously trolled by the guns all game. This gameplay exactly shows never to give up. Most of the time my team just abandons any hope when in this kind of situation but there are always experienced players in the surviving ships and if you give a little support to them, you might still win the game. (With the help of our lord and saviour rngesus.)

I mean, it's turrets are thicker armored than Bisnarcks turrets.

This vid has some great advise in it. I'm mainly a cruiser and DD player, so the way you positioned yourself etc. to turn a game around seems to be also quite useful in cruisers. Thanks :)

I played with If HE full secs Kaptain + Build. When you kyte away with your massive secs on the back i got my 110k average At 50 Battles +-. Start of Battle you go in full nose and when the Time says yes you turn behind a Island and do that kyte sec stuff. Works nice on the alsasce too. Its my style so just a idea for you

The Richy Lulu can be a blessing with the speed, and the bane of your existence when facing tier 10's exclusively.

Richelu: "Who are you?" Jean Bart: "You only far better in every way! Except for that 32mm plating..."

Fun fact- Before the KMS BB Dispersion buffs, Bismarck/Tirpitz and Richelieu had identical accuracy characteristics. Same dispersion (horizontal AND vertical) and the same Sigma. The only reason Richelieu seems more accurate than Bismarck/Tirpitz is because the guns are much closer together, and because there's two turrets and not four, they all land within two dispersion ellipses instead of four.

No fun tactics work with a carrier. It's blob up or be farmed, hence why most experienced players heavily dislike them.

So you mean carrier gameplay is pretty RNGish at the moment? If so, well i do agree tho. Sometimes i decide to support my team blob only to have them blown up or overextended for whatever reason. Sometimes i chose to support small flotilla of ships, but turns out they are blokes and pretty much ruined that flank. Decide immediatly to support other flank, but it is too late.

To make use of Rich's secondaries, u should show some broadside, it wont be effective if you nose in. Overally I think Rich's fast gun turning speed and 25km firing range are the reason you should use it. It just not a brawler with thick armor. Imagine its a super cruiser, and play it like a cruiser.

On paper, I didn't like the looks of Richelieau or Al's-sauce, but they were just hella fun to play, despite the IJN "AA" destroyers.

@@oddmanout4256 yes, a Jean Bart is a Richelieu with better accuracy, better reload time and with a reload booster. It also has better AA.

Great tactics, however in the Asia server this would never work. Last night 3 games in a row we had 4 carrier s how you played that would have been failer. They would farm you to death as you had no other ships with you. Still impressive to watch.

Gotta have concealment expert and the concealment mod. Else you're always spotted and you get chased to death.

omg.... dd yolo rushers make my anxiety flare, especially since the yolo rusher is always on my team. love losing most forms of spotting on the side im on within the first 3 minutes....

I have yet to find out exactly how twitch works, I guess I am dumb. I stick over here.

You would have been better going o the left f the sland at the end instead of going to the right. And contrary to popular belief it is quite consistant at longer ranges. Hitting CVs for a living t max range with this thing. Quite convenient sometimes to have Yamato like range in tier 8. I've hit a a GK and citadelled him at 23 kms yesterday.

this ship is dam too easy to play. Even vs T10, u can do very easely 100k dmg each battle! Last time I used it, 220k dmg vs t10 .... u can surprise ennemies with your concealment and punish them

Yeah, but sometimes you want to eat them, especially in a "slow" BB or when a cv drops you, cuz it will force you otherwise in huge trouble due to the fucked up positioning.

Richelue is why I stopped grinding this line. Guns consistently suck. Has what I call 4 corners dispersion. Aim at a ship and miss entirely where each shell goes on each side of the target. 1 top left/right 1 low left/right Thing still dips .5 km at point blank

When i played WOWS - Richelieu was terrible for me. No resiliency (easly to he spam to death).

Flamu Richelieu gameplay: Zipping around battlefield and active maneuver with speed advantage. Actual Richelieu and Jean Bart gameplay: Move forward, then reverse in the open while shooting HE and hoping to bow tank HE cruiser.

The turret weakness is too obvious to be exploit.

27 HP and flooding at the end... if you would have fired half a second later, you would not have survived

CV is bad to the game because usually, CVs are targeting the opponent players that are helping their team. The players that are actively trying to win are usually the one in the front and shooting. They are very visible to the CVs and they are targeted. In the meantime, the passive players sitting in the back of the map are not harassed by the CV. Another interesting aspect of the game is about concealment. Usually, weakly armored ships have a good concealment to compensate for their weakness. But CV ruins that balance factor because it can spot the ships with the best concealment making the game unbalanced. And then, it is very frustrating that CVs can punish any opponent while sitting in the back of the map in all safety. The game is designed in the way that a CV is even safe to its counterpart. A CV will not attack the enemy CV until it is the last enemy ship on the map.

It is not so much that they are good (although if you are in a tier 10 CV, you can can do 10000 damage a salvo shooting rockets and that does not require any skill whatsoever while you are so happy hitting a citadel in a BB which does around 10000 per shell). It is the fact that it disrupts the game so active players are punished, passive players are rewarded, DDs cannot do their job. Players tends to regroup together in the spawn hoping to add up AA, waiting for something to happen.

@@Skiesaremine CV players tend to avoid flying over enemy ships to reach a ship at the back of the map. This only happens in the middle of the game when the enemy team started to disperse and you can see a path to your target without suffering losses from AA on your way to your target. Another annoying thing about CVs is the fact that if you have a good CV on one side and a bad one on the other side, the good CV player tends to have a free meal on the enemy team as the bad CV player does not even try to send fighters to protect his team.

The one thing I honestly dislike is people like flamu, notser and so on doing things like aiming to low and then complaining about it 🤦‍♂️
