Every Sunday I'd make sure I was in ready for it to start... My mates would say where are you goin Mike... I'd say goin in now London's burning is on soon 🤗 I loved it!

Sicknote was my favourite character and I was gutted when they killed him off and then barely mentioned him. I hoped the interview would touch on why he left, whether he quit or was written out, how he felt about his characters death etc But Richard is looking very well and I hope he can carry on doing what he loves

Lovely interview from a very nice guy. Always loved the things that happened to sicknote and he was one of my favourite characters right from the pilot film. Very nice that he gave up his time to do this interview.

Blackwall or Dockhead as was the station’s real name was my local fire station when I lived in Bermondsey. My Nan lived in Weller House on the Dickens Estate just around the corner from the Station, which are the flats where Tony and Dorothy lived and she’d often call me to say they were filming nearby. I went for a drink in the Ship Aground recently which is the pub pretty much next to the station, the new building looks awful compared to how the old station looked. Sadly the pub the fireman were often seen in, the Swan and Sugarloaf is long gone. Great series, loved watching it, much preferred the original cast to the newer ones.

Sick note reminded me of some of the lads I served with when I was a firefighter. I'm now a retired area commander and miss the service at times but I've got some good memories of my career.

Can’t believe this I’ve always wanted an interview I’ve still got the dvds my childhood hero’s it should never have ended Richard you were the best I traveled 450 miles to dockhead last month only to find its total different building

Amazing 🎬 acting brilliant actor

Amanda Dickinson was a very underrated cast member - she was such a brilliant foil for Sicknote's character 🤣 Nice to hear how Richard is still friends with Amanda, and with Andrew Kazamia 😊 The show was a joke by the time it got to the storylines with the miscarriage and fostering Owen. Sad to know that Richard has experienced losing children in the way Bert and Jean did, though 😥

Sicknote had some great storylines- The Student Prince and the wig storylines were best.

i am watching the series at the moment, on dvd. Hard to believe hard believe it started 35 years old and the last one was 20 years ago.

Another great interview for the show with one of its most memorable actors and characters. Excellent. Remembers plenty of the details and key creatives/names. Incredible. Ross Boatman, Sean Blowers or Glen Murphy for the next one, please sir...along with Stephen North and Samantha Beckinsale. You seem like quite the fan...go for them. 👍

@Stefano Pavone The holy grail? I think Richard above, Sean, Glen, Ross and the late Jimmy come before him. Andrew was excellent, a phenomenal actor, but they had 3-4 years on him with the show. They were on it for longer. Andrew works in the theatre.

Richard Walsh sounds very different from hi character "sicknote"

I remember that Joe died but not Sicknote and Dan .

Sicknote did die along with Joe at the end of series 12 but Dan left the brigade to travel the world.

@@jollyjiver1256 Nice to know there is another Sicknote fan out there. I really hated how LB killed off all the originals aside from George and Pearce (who came in at series 6) even Recall... why not have had him move to Scotland with Elaine? No they killed him off for why? Ratings? The last 2 series' (though not as terrible as people say) were a shell of the 88-2000 series, sad to see it go out at rock bottom like that

@@RNCV-uf7wu Totally agree with you there. All soaps and dramas are these days are just death, death and more death just to boost the ratings (which never seem to work). Seems like that was what LB was trying to do in the end. So sad that they got rid of so many of the originals.

Sick note grub up... shan't be a sec just doing my log bookings......are you eating down there ..no gov Brigade orders no food in the Box....I'm not guv....I'm serious not even cat food 😄😁😆
