I'm a grown man and I've watched the race many times and every time I have tears in my eyes! It is more than a horse race for me as it's a lesson about life and what's possible when you never give up and believe in your dreams! Rich Strike is the most beautiful incredible horse ever as far as I'm concerned!

I'm a retired Olympic Decathlon athlete in the 80s through 3 games. I understand what a kick is on the final stretch. I won national championship when no one knew me. This is Exactly what America 🇺🇸 needed. The horse is a Champion and the trainer is a great man. This has been a true blessing 🙏 thank you for putting this together ❤

❤🌹This story will never get old. It’s 10/13/22 and I’m loving Rich Strike more and more.

Man to hear him illustrate this story gives me goose bump.

Even though I didn’t play Rich strike, that was the best Kentucky Derby I have ever seen in my life. Congrats to Richie forever.

What I love about this horse and this race, is that 99% of the people did not pick this 80 to 1 long shot, most people did not win money on Rich Strike, yet we all still love the fact that Rich Strike won this race, and it was the greatest race we ever saw. On top of that, once we learn all the facts of this truly epic story, it does not matter how invested we were initially. We fall in love with the horse, his owner, the jockey, the whole team, and the story of literally over coming ALL the odds stacked against them. The owner had a tragic barn fire 2 yrs ago, Rich Strike was purchased for $30,000, originally Rich Strike was not even supposed to be in the race, he was a last-minute fill-in for a scratched horse. Rich Strike was a 80 to 1 long shot, which made this one of the biggest upsets in Derby history. In the first few seconds of the race Rich Strike was last, at one point in the race it did not look like Rich Strike was going to be able to make it through the huge pack ahead of him. Against all odds, literally all odds, this horse ran down the entire field and won the Kentucky Derby. That will give a lot of people hope for themselves and others, and for what we are going through in life. So even though millions of people did not win a dime on Rich Strike, we still love the fact that Rich Strike and the entire team won. This literally was the greatest horse race ever. God what you did for Rich Strike and his whole team, please do for America.

A big shout out to the groom, Jerry Dixon Jr. Grooms play an important part in the success of a horse. They have Eclipse awards for horses, owners, trainers, jockeys. There should be an Eclipse award for grooms. Name it after Eddie Sweat, groom of Riva Ridge and arguably the greatest horse ever, the immortal Secretariat.

That number 21 keeps coming up. This years race Mage was in stall 21 of barn 42 of the derby. Watching Rich Strike was incredible and so was Eric's interview and message.

Rich strike👏👏👏👏💖however...Groomers.....no one even remembers to give them a mention yet they form the closest bond and understand the horses more than anyone else. I hope they too get a percentage earning from the horse prize winnings just like the jockeys and trainers no matter how little rather than just salary. We hear all the time about jockeys and trainers earning from prize winnings quite deservedly, but hardly about the groomers. Beautiful horse.

The Lord gave me a dream directing me to watch this Derby a few weeks after. This Derby was a prophetic sign! Come watch the video that I made explaining what it means if you are interested. This horse and this race never gets old!

Wow...trying to type words...i can only type WOW!!!

I actually understand a lot of this. I compete in competition obedience and I have a dog that has come a long way. Had my Sheltie been a race horse, she might have at one time, been a claimer. Out of 200 points, we were doing well to earn in the mid-180s just a year and a half ago. Then we steadily improved until we were starting to consistently score in the low 190s. Then competed in the Regional competition a few hours from home and did very well, even earning an aggregate score higher than some very good dog/handler teams, and best of all the Shelties. The quest was to earn an invitation to the National Obedence Championship, an invitational competition. It also depended on how many dog/handler teams that scored higher than us had already qualified for a likelihood of an invitation. I found out about ten days ago (1/11/23) that we earned an invitation as the final team to get in on the first round of invitees. I don't train as hard as I train smart, knowing what my Sheltie needs in training. I am at a disadvantage of living in a kind of an obedience "desert" where I have to travel two hours in any one of four directions to train in an indoor, environmentally-controlled dog training facility. I am not an A-list competitior though my Sheltie and I have placed over A-listers a few times when we were at our best, and they perhaps-weren't. Still, my Sheltie showed me a part of her at a trial this December that made me think it is possible to make our presence felt at the National Championship that usually has over 200 dogs showing and is run tournament-style where you go ring to ring performing perhaps two Open exercises and one Utility exercise or the other way around. Then at the end of the first day, the top fifty dog/handler teams move on to the final day. My Sheltie and I will be little ducks in a big pond, but by golly, she is a consistent one, and I have an understanding of what makes her tick in training, routine the week immediately before a competition, and in the warmup before entering the ring. It still gives me hope that anything can happen when I saw 80-1 Rich Strike run right past the favorites, Mine That Bird making that winning pass down the rail, the 1980 U.S. Olympic Hockey team beating the Russians... Sorry this is so long but I am in a position I've been trying to be for over a decade. I couldn't even get an invitation back when I had a Obedience Trial Champion titled Sheltie and AKC top ten in her breed.

you can't just "go see" him. He's one of the most famous horses in the world and he's worth millions of dollars and is actively racing. His next race will be the G1 Travers stakes at Saratoga Racecourse in NY on August 27th
