The story behind Rich Strike is amazing. Welcome to a great sport.
Excelent... video. Sonny León incredible.
Rich strike is a triple crown winner the jockey is the main reason he picked them holes and shot through them for the win great job 💯💯🤠
I believe that this was fate for Rich Strike to win the Kentucky Derby, just the way everything unfolded and how they got this horse from Calumet farm out of a claiming race. This is truly a blessing for Eric Reed his family and all the people affiliated with this horse.
Rich Strike blew them away with the speed he has. No other horse in the field made up the distance like he did. Sonny saw all the holes and took advantage of them. Rich Strike reminds me of Secretariat and how he would come from behind at blazing speed to win.

After seeing The Belmont "Richie Rich" has Much To Prove...before everyone forgets his name and his Kentucky Derby striking performance....and because of his sitting out The Preakness and not because of injury...the word Great won't be used much anymore. I will have to view The Belmont over a few times. Thanks.

@@strickly60s78 C"est la vie and why we don't have a triple crown winner every year. Few make the grade but a small farm with a cheap horse did win the Derby. I liked that. If you watched any of his other races you might figure the Derby was a fluke win but what a win it was.

Hi "XLR", Yes...the often told story of a "bottom claimer" or cheap purchased horse turning into a Super horse always appeals to most of us. I Love them and as you said..."when a small stable wins The Kentucky Derby"..and no one can't take that from him. Thanks
That is the biggest upset in Kentucky derby for sure!!!! Beautiful horse chilling
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!
These are the fruits of a humble Venezuelan guy who ate only mangoes when he was a child and now his lifestyle hss changed with the Kentucky Derby. God rewards to goodwill men.

He ran a very strategic race. Going to the inside when everyone else was going out.

🌹🏇I’m at work in the ER. Quiet moment right now and I chose to find more videos of Rich Strike! This is a nice intimate moment of the race and after the victory. Still so very emotional as I watch it for the THOUSANDTH time. I don’t know if my heart could have taken seeing it “Live”. Blessings to all of you who are dedicated to this sport. Now make room for me 😀 Let’s go! Preakness! #21 The Long-shot The UnderHorse 😂 A moment of motivation. Thank you Rich Strike for giving us HOPE!🌹🌹🌹

rich strike and secretarit are my two favorites now. :)
Untold amount of cameras covering this and we couldn't get one camera on Rich Strike's team during the race to see their reaction as Rich Strike came charging back to win? That's unforgivable. An all-time great piece of content that would have been!

Que atropelada fenomenal e uma condução magistral. Parabéns ao treinador e proprietário.
Absolutely Stunning To Watch This Beautiful Horse!! I Hear The bloodline of This Lovely Animal Reaches To Both That of Secretariat's and Seabiscuit..
I hope there is a movie I love it.rich strike has taught the world a great lesson here.
It looks like there won't be a push for the Triple Crown though. Sad but money wins out all the time. I remember very well 1973 and living just a breath away from The Belmont that year. Watching Secretariat win the Crown was indescribable. RIP boy.
Rich Strike has his work cut out for him....he has much to prove before the word Great will be used. I will be impressed as long as Rich Strike runs a close 3rd. Triple Crown winners are rare to see and treasure. Thank you. Alfie

Yes....I agree. Secretariat was The Greatest Race Horse That I Have Seen Run. I am So Grateful that Penny T decided to close his career out in The International....she wanted Canadians to experience True Class. I won't forget being at Woodbine to see how he outclassed the field. What struck me about him, was his unusually large neck area. My older brother always mentioned "Citation" as his favourite horse. Thanks....I gotta go...I'm off to the track after all....it is Saturday.
Rich Strike didn't like the lead horse before they started either, lol.
It's totally about Richie...Rich Strike was the Star of the show.
Фантастика❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wow!!! Awesome
I was amazed how Jockey Sonny Leon veered his mount to the right ang overtake the horse he was following and subsequently overtake Epicenter
U don't name groom fa nutn good job..🇯🇲🔥

What??????
This great story has to be ruined by a greedy-gutless owner who pulls his horse from The Preakness and a once in a generation chance at racing greatness because he’s afraid his horse may be too tired. If you believe this I’ll have Santa drop off some gifts to your house next Christmas. All that thankfulness and humility at Kentucky really is nothing more than money and future stud fees. Owner and trainers who cared more about horse racing than these two have put their horses in The Preakness after winning The Derby….this really bothers me as this horse could have been one of those rare horse with the heart of a champion and now we will never know. If they guaranteed them 10 million to race, you would see how quickly this horse feel rested and is now ready to race. Shameless….

@@kevinh5349 I understand you want to live in your lollipop lands singing and dancing with munchkins but sorry, I like to live in reality. This horse deserves a shot at immortality as he showed so much heart passing two very good horse…and you, like Mr. Dawson, want to take that opportunity away from him? Just stop defending the indefensible, another greedy owner looking for a big pay day over doing what is right and running him in The Preakness Stakes. You should be very angry as I am!!
