Rich Froning in Double Grace
Спорт
Competitors at the 2014 CrossFit Games learned about the final event just seconds before it began. Grace - the classic CrossFit workout and the final event of the 2008 CrossFit Games - was doubled.
Rich Froning finished the competition strong with three straight event wins to clinch a record fourth consecutive championship title.
Watch Froning go head-to-head with athletes like Jason Khalipa and Mat Fraser, and dominate the finale in his last year as an individual Games competitor.

The MVP of this video is still Sean Woodland for timing his call with the reps. Legend.

it wouldn've been funny though if that last rep was no repped for dropping the barbell behind

The greatest call in CrossFit games history!
Sean Woodland's call is absolutely legendary here. The timing was perfect and Rich drops the bar behind him as the cherry on top. I couldn't even tell you how many times I've seen this.
This was hands down my favorite CF era.

Why is that?.. honest question
When he throw it over his head at the end, that was the coolest thing to me back then.
I remember this! Watching him win again was so freaking awesome!
The greatest of them all. A league of his own. No one comes close... no one!
When you were actually in the stadium and watched every heat… such a energetic vibe.
This is the absolute blueprint of what technique really means. Look at Khalipa, Hackenbruck etc. and how their technique suffers through fatique. Rich's reps ALWAYS look the same, first rep or last rep, first day or last day. This is what I absolutely love about this GOAT of a competitor of CrossFit.
Freaking awesome throw back of Rich doing Rich
It is wild to think this was eight years ago.

That behind-the-head bar drop tho! I know it’s illegal now, but it’s still baller.

Rich Froning, the epitome of “head baller, shot caller” LOL
What a finish! Great commentary as well. Legendary.

F Yeah! The Good Ol' Days. Is anyone else wondering how this would play out at the 2022 CrossFit Games? 😉
Épico Froning x Fraser 🔥🏋🏻♂️
Magnífico
Rich always ends well. While everyone else is trying to hang on, he’s usually throttling up heading to the finish line.
Este día fue épico 😭😍

Got a pump of of that
One thing can be said, Froning has beaten Fraser. Fraser cant say that! Well one can say Fraser has 5 chips yeah without Froning 😀

So how many CF Games athletes in 2022 will beat Froning's time when they announce this event? Probably a lot depending on when in the weekend they complete this.

The time didnt matter...its pacing your opponents and keeping ahead...
So this plus the video of 225lb grace on Castro’s KZread - I predict double 225lb grace at the games this year.
Athletes in the early years of Crossfit were good. Athletes now are freakish. Rich understood the game and when to go team instead of individual.

lol Nah, man. Rich was different (i.e. his mindset) - and knew the game and play his cards right every year. He would've no doubt have 6 CF Games Individuals titles.
@soldiernumber14

@@_majohn92 Yeah because Ben Smith stumbled upon his Championship. After Fraser took over, he didn't have a chance that's why he went team. He saw the writing on the wall or he would have stayed individual.
This is the true Crossfit GOAT... the only reason there is Fraser is because Frowning got tired of beating him.
But Fra3er is the “goat” 🥴
