Rhyw - Anasa | Between The Lines | Thomann

Музыка

For this week’s episode of „Between The Lines“ we visited Rhyw in his Berlin studio to check out how his upcoming track on his label "Fever AM" was made.
Besides classic machines like the MFB Tanzbär or Vermona DRM he tells us his secret sauce on his sounddesign.

I have really really enjoyed this and could easily watch you talk about your process for hours. Interested in how you’re using Sherman Filterbank, eg do you record tweaking it, do you use any triggers, cv or midi etc to control it etc? Thanks

@@piotr803 yeh lots of live recordings, tweaking stuff which then i might just end up using a tiny bit. Its quite unpredictable but can capture some nice moments. i connect the kick from Tanzbar and use it as a gate basically, so can get a kind of side chain effect combining patterns.

Great track, sound, approach. When I was buying PRO 3, I was often asked why am I not selling PRO 2... guess this video is one of the answers. Quite often staple of the track. I know I would be super sad for letting it go, especially after some time. I love my PRO 3, its a monster synth, but PRO 2 is totally unique.

For something like that yes, as it's not primary a main snare or something, its more a percussion/texture layer, so all these separate sounds get grouped via the FX chain + then the Morph.

I used the CV Clock Out device from CV tools pack (Max for live) and an external instrument. Connected the adv/clock of the DFAM to the soundcard, so you get the audio and trigger. There are a couple v helpful videos on here (slightly different methods) just search DFAM/ ableton sync etc :)
