I have had people ask me why I despise the EU,........it's because of what they have done to Greece. I love Greece, especially Crete and Rhodes. I'm a Brit and have spent many holidays on Crete and Rhodes, even Athens , but not so much. Greek food is wonderful, and the hospitality is the best in the world.

im from norway and visited Rhodes both in 1982 for 14 days where i spendt almost all days in rhodes city at the beach. and 45 days in 1985 where i rented a motorcycle and traveld everywhere on the island including this villge in this video. but i spendt more than a week exploring my favorite place::: i think its name was EPTA PIGES, It didnt look like much when you enterd where the road stopd. but after you found the little creek running thru a manemade stone tunnel thru a hill you came out in BUTTERFLY VALLEY. i thyink it was cald... IT WAS LIKE EDEN! and yes the local people i got to know was very nice. i stopd traveling to greece and other countrys around year 2000! we have enough begging annoying migrants here in norway now too. nowadays i spend my holydays hiking in norwegian nature parks, camping and fishing, ore just relax, cheaper and more peaceful

This video is a great example of what is missed by the majority of people visiting the island in the summer. They come here and spend the rest of their holidays in the hotel, around the pools and bars!!!! What a waste of time!!! And then go home and tell their friends they went to the Greek island of Rhodes, and have a bunch of pictures all over the hotel!!! That's not the real Greece. Come , see the and meet people, eat the food, live with them, and get to know them, and make friends forever, we are here, and look forward to share with you what little we have

MR T Do you know why the woman in video painting with white color the walls? Do you know why the houses in Greek Icelands are white? In the time of ottoman empire there was rules for Christians. Sharia ruls. All the population who was not Muslim, must pay the "jizia". Do you know what is the "jizia"? The "jizia" is en islamic tax only because you as the person isn't Muslim. For the christians it was forbid tu have houses with 2 floors. Generally the houses was must be more small than Muslims houses. A christian can not have the horse. Only donkey. If the christian saw the Muslim coming, he must change the street. Etc, etc. After the independence day, the people was so happy, that pained all the houses in the white color. And after the criminal things, after the genocidal politic your country planing a new war against Greece. So, keap your respect for you and for your county. You are not welcomed in Greece. Go to your Uralo-altaic friends kazakistan, Kırgızistan, Azerbaigian etc....

Jews don't consider fish to be "meat." And remember Catholics used to not eat meat during Lent, but fish was allowed.

Strict fasting doesn't allow fish; though seafood is OK. It has to do with the blood of the animal. Red blood is a no-go as it resembles the blood of Christ, so that includes fish. Practically though, most people do eat fish but no land-based animal protein. Also, officially, olive oil is not allowed the last few days before Easter.

@@bustersmith5569 In Greece we are not allowed to have oil when fasting, yes. But very few people fast nowadays. My grandma used to eat only fruit, rice and vegetables cooked with water and salt for 40 days before Easter every year when she was still alive.
