@@davidspinney7344 This makes it work better for sure... also if you can put your shock tops mounted inward angled towards the center trans case this really helps..I did this with mine and have a video showing how to do it.

Shen RC Some of the guys at Fern’s Rugrat Comp cut the springs or didn’t use them at all. I wish I had. Mine was completely stock in the comp and I lost my cool. It definitely crawls better with softer springs. 👍😃👍

@@waynekiblersrcadventures Yes for sure...Do this to yours it works much better and also I know you can't move the top position because of your trucks rear bed but try moving the front shock top position back inward towards the center transmission that will make it flex more easy..I also have a video how I did it on mine I think you need to use some tiny spacers though. Shen RC I used my SCX24 in the comp and that’s the one that I’m making the mods to. It’s such a fun truck man, I love it. 👍😃👍

Hey Steve. Thanks for another mod! I got the 8t pinion running and its a night and day difference in torque! It feels like its really scale power now. My cg or grip goes before the wheels stop turning. Have you seen theres a FTX OUTBACK MINI 2.0 RANGER 1:24. Cant wait to see your review.

Cool your the first i know who could get the 8T pinion to work and mesh other than me! That new FTX2.0 has a much lower gear ratio due to the center gearbox. these Uruav 1/24 are the same I believe as the FTX2.0 but they cost less! Scroll down to see em. www.banggood.com/search/uruav-1-24-4wd.html

Thumbs up, Steve. Looks like a good mod. Might try it on the Hobby Plus CR-24 if it has any preload/spacers. Just one thought, won’t it theoretically decrease the ground clearance?

Might note that stiffer shocks will give you better grip when climbing over stuff an keep your truck from scapes on the belly

Hi with this small model they made the springs way to stiff for it's weight, It does work much better now with the mod and also relocating the shock tops inward towards the center of the chassis..

Hi I am not sure about that the V2 has another gearbox up front with the motor up front also. and the time you buy all the parts it would probably be a better choice just to buy a new RTR V2 model.

Where did you find those tiers ??? I got a 1/24 scale rig. It's the uruav ç424 by hobby plus I've been trying to find a better set of tires but I can't find the right size and the ones u have on that rgt are amazing looking I'd like to see them on my Rc lol

Hi these are from RC4wd they are not a perfect fit I had to glue them around the tires bead to the wheel as they are larger inside OD and the wheel just slips inside them easy and you have to glue around the wheel and tires edge...I think rc4wd has smaller inside ID tires now also.

a little negative suspension travel is a GOOD thing, and when running you'll see a little extra torque roll, oh well its how it works. that 2 mm at the shock spring can gain ya 1/4" of flex.

😁👍 well I guess it helps with the gripping because it makes the trucks axles flex a bit more and helps keep the tires all down on the rocks so it will grip better and go over rocks better. Thanks for watching.

Amazing to have 10K views on a hack video. Didn't make the ride "softer" just added play between the spring and the shock head making the spring totally inactive for part of the shock travel. To get "softer" you need to just change the springs to a softer spring. And... Those little "spacers" are sprint stops and if you had taken the shocks off the truck you'd see you can remove the stops without cutting them at all, They slide right off once you remove the spring. For softer suspension use softer springs for the proper way to make that mod.

Hi It took the pressure off the spring and made it relaxed so it is a bit softer and the droop mod with play works awesome we do it on a lot of trucks this worked much better after doing this than in stock form that's for sure.
