Lots of interesting stuffs, my list continues to grow thanks to your guidance. I'm expecting to find several of these krautrock classics that are still missing from my collection when I'll swing by the record stores in Germany next month. And yeah, Bo Hansson's Lord Of The Rings is a brilliant one too, thanks for sharing, take care

I look forward to your video's each week Fred. Enjoyed #150 very much . Last month one of the local shops text me a pic of Deuter 'Silence is the Answer' (KuckKuck records) so I swung buy and bought it. Falls on the right side of New Age, but given all the overt Hindi references I expected something a bit bolder. 2x LP so I will revisit it in the near future and give the record it's proper due. Same visit - I got a copy of Jane 'Sign No 9' which suffers from identity crisis - doesn't really know which direction it wants to go in so it attempts many - succeeding at none. And yet the visit was worthwhile as I bought an OG 1st Press of Kraftwerk 'Die Mensch-Macshine" anda super clean copy of 'Doppelalbum' (Philips) which has a handful of tracks from the first two LPs - which are unobtainium. Placed a copy of Waving Not Drowning in my saved for later list - thanks for the tip!

Yep Jane has never been my jam. I tried years ago but it sounded like some kind of lesser verion of Led Zep or Black Sabbath but proggy, but not wholy committed to this thing. Got rid of it in the end. Deuter and Kraftwerk are winners!

This was absolutely fascinating Fred. I really liked how you brokedown "Zeit". My journey with jazz started with bands like Weather Report, Joe Zawinul, McLaughlin, Miles, Mahavishnu Orch, etc... So I do like progressive jazz. But I could not really get into F Lotus's "You're Dead". It's a tough one for me. I grabbed We Insist at last year's RSD. I still have not dove into it yet. If you don't mind. What was it that yo9u liked about it? I guess I made this comment all about me. {smile} It should be about you. Thanks F. In the last thirteen plus VC years. Thanks so much Rob, always great to see you here. I often wonder how you can take the time to comment so meaningfully on so many videos. You probably are the absolute OG of the VC. The Max Roach LP is pretty wild, some parts are pretty avant-garde with the vocals of Abbey Lincoln but I guess his drumming holds the whole thing together. It's very forward thinking.

Second that Bo Hanson. I have that copy and would love the original Swedish cover / pressing. It's a stunner. Great call on the Tangerine Dream Zeit, have to pull that. great eclipse cover, I should put together a video of eclipse covers. Penguin Cafe Orch is very underated to me, they deserve more praise for their approach and sound. Like Woo to me, very singular. I hear you on that Flying Lotus. Embryo is one of my favorite bands..love all there eras..for me that lp might be be there peak..incredible aural travelogue. Have not spun zeit in a longtime such a vast recording in more ways than one..back to the womb stuff..😂. That billy higgins was a slept on lp for many years got my copy in early 90's..all those guys are stalwarts of the la jazz scene henderson is on those henry franklin black jazz lp's and bias made a few lovely lp's onnthe nimbus label you would dig me thinks. That version of john coltrane might even top clifford Jordan's already great version on glass bead games. Lord is the only bo lp i kept jonas vclt me an og swedish pressing on silence many years ago and the sound and mix blow away the us pressing..just heavier and deeper.. 😂 that morning sky is indeed in the first version of the acid archives so there you go!..glad you dig that..harder to find now..barbara london's later solo lp is also well worth the time..look forward too a possible stream i might participate if i can was fun when we did one awhile back.
