Have some Cantarella every time the moderator says 'you-tena'.
I think the director tried to avoid talking so much about his own interpretation of the anime itself but rather leave it to audiences to decide. The only 2 themes he stressed about are FREEDOM and DIVERSITY that this work mainly conveys.
This man is a legend for me ❤
Ikuhara and Saito are amazing legends

Utena and Sailor Moon are very important shows to me, so thank you so much for hosting this panel and for taking the time to answer my question. 🥰
Utena and Sailor Moon both did so much for anime and manga and for LGBT content in Anime and Manga in general, Its so cool to see Saito and Ikuhara being respected and seen outside of Japan as well,
Sailor Moon was my gateway into anime, and shows like Utena and Sarazanmai are some of my all time favorites. Excited to hear Ikuhara's already working on his next project. I can't wait!
I watched the Sailor Moon R movie obsessively as a wee one finding Utena in middle school really helped me through my gender and sexuality woes and later trauma. These two will never know how much they helped me navigate life and myself. So much love and respect for them. The new manga SLAPPED.
Thanks to all for making this happen ❤
thank you
It's so cool to still be hearing about Utena!!!
WOW what an amazing interview! Both Ikuhara and Saito are legends in the anime/manga world, it's great to see them talking about their works and ideas, and how Utena also came to be.
Is there a written version? That would be cool!
