Maestro tengo una 2013 dodge ram diesel reconstruyeron la transmission pero en las mañanas al ponerle reversa se mueve pero sin fuerza y si la dejan calentar unos 10 minutos se mueve normal los cambios los hace muy vien y aparece el código p0868 pero en storage y nunca activo alguna idea?

With your experience and knowledge would you recommend to go with the Aisin transmission? I did and wonder if there are any upgrades you'd recommend? I'm doing dump and refill (7qt) every 30k miles.

Aisin is good. I would recommend you replace the filter as well and just use AS68RE fluid. Your intervals are good at 30,000.

Nice video. Would you recommend a deep pan for an upgrade as well to add more fluid to the transmission?

How did you do the p curve and quick relearn after changing the valve body. Please lmk I am looking to do the same thing to my truck.

I had to pay the yearly subscription on my Autel scanner for the dodge's to be able to do that. Also you'll need the connection to communicate with it. On some the radio needs to be removed to get to it.

I don't know if you've been dealing with 68rfe's much (sounds like it though). What's the most common failures you see in them and what would you recommend to increase reliability, especially when used for heavy towing?

Overdrive frictions always burn. Line pressure sensor fails under reporting Line pressure and causing premature failure. Solenoid packs, valve body warping and other issues.

But does the upgrade perform as advertised.... Any drawbacks that you can see other than the wire notch?

Not noticeable, but the issue with these valve bodies is warping which that billet plate and gaskets take care of. And that red Accumulator cover too is upgraded. But Transgo has a kit that fixes all that and more. When ever I get a chance I'll talk about that kit. And about the wire, they need to make a provision for the bracket. It was not fuzzy and not stretched and the edges were not sharp. I would still worry about rubbing and short out. But okay nonetheless.

Yes, but your scanner has to be registered otherwise it would be locked and the function is not available.

Actually I am planning on doing something similar by just using Sonnax and Transgo. You can achieve the same results.

@@AutomaticTransmission I though Revmax's big thing was that channel plate and the accumulators. The owner was trying to prevent future damage to the transmission by installing this unit. I don't know if he will actually do so. I hope you called RevMax and told them about the filter retainer not fitting. I don't see this as an advertisement. Just an FYI. RevMax has a TON of upgrade parts for the 68rfe. It would be nice if an everyday rebuilder like yourself could comment on the practicality or usability of them. Which is what you did by pointing out the clip problem. Great video none the less.
