Slap Shop is a masterpiece of Cinema. My wife saw it for the first time with me this past christmas in Florida. She loved it! That was probably the 15th time ive seen it. Yes, Slap Shot is the greatest hockey film ever. The two Carlson's and the Hanson did such a great job playing the Hanson Brother's. All three were great skaters.

Met these guys at an autograph signing after a charity game in Seattle 20 some years ago. We were at the back of the line, and I was getting a little loaded. When we got to the table, I said "I found that machine that took your f'ing quarter" and put one on the table. Can't remember which one, but one said "I think it was Canadian, eh". Priceless moment I'll never forget. Thanks guys!

I remember back in the 1990's, the Hansons came to Portland Maine as guests of the Portland Pirates and I thought they were gonna get thrown out of the building that night! Their antics were pushing the envelope but hysterical !
Terrific tour, and glad to see Steve up and about! F--k cancer!
This is awesome!!! So many memories of watching this flick over the years…. Its great to get a little history behind some of the scenes. Old time hockey never gets old!!!
Steve, I didn’t know about your cancer. I’m glad that you are doing better!! God bless
Awesome to see actors come back to do filming locations and talk about them.
I love old hockey arenas and this one is great!
When you talk about iconic movies immortalizing a time period and a sport, none ring as lovingly accurate as Slap Shot. Eddie Shore, old time hockey, for life.

My dad & I laughed throughout this movie. We were in tears it was so funny. My dad was a huge Montreal Canadians fan and used to see all of the greats play. When we moved to the US we went to a lot of Houston Aeros hockey games. Gordie, Mark and Marty Howe were all on the team. We saw Gordie score his 800th goal. Even though my dad saw the best teams in pro hockey he said a Houston Aeros - Winnipeg game was the best he had ever seen. The Aeros were down 4-1 with just over a minute to go and they ended up beating Winnipeg in the most excited game ever. My dad and I loved Slap Shot and especially the Hanson Brothers! They added to the hilarity! Another hilarious show we laughed all the way through was Blazing Saddles. Our stomachs actually hurt from laughing so much. Both those shows were masterpieces. This program is so great with Steve Carlson talking about the way things were. All the best to him!
classic film. The scene where he was hit in the face with the keys and a few others were filmed at the onondaga county war memorial in Syracuse.
Glad to see you are doing well following your cancer treatment Steve. Thanks for the memories.
Love it! Watch it now and again. Great movie.
I'm betting on a foiled up Carlson over cancer every time.
I enjoyed every second of that! Wonderful memories.
The Quebec adaptation is AWESOME! Curse words and all, it is a masterpiece this movie! I am only 26 years old but I grew up with my parents being staff during games in the local arena. When I found the VHS at 10, I would sneak it in my room to watch it with my friends, we had a blast swearing at each other like the Hansons!! Good memories!
Love this movie and these gents. Add to the fact it was filmed in my native state of Pennsylvania!! Old time hockey never dies!!🇺🇸🇨🇦
I own the 25th anniversary video! I primarily watch the side where the three of you talk during the movie. I find it so funny

Hello Steve my family and I are so glad you are now healthy. My son Brandon and I had the privilege to meet you. Jeff and Dave at a Chiefs game years ago. I’m very glad that I got a chance to speak to you and get your autographs. I even remember attending the Lockhart Cup final in 1975. Where the Johnstown Jets won the Championship! Keep slapping the stick to the vulcanized rubber!! Take Care & God Bless! Jim Fox, Johnstown, PA
The Best Hockey Movie Of All Time
Saw the Hanson brothers years ago at a Tampa Bay Lightning game when they were touring NHL Arenas. They had already done their schtick "water skiing" behind the Zamboni between periods. I went up to concession stand during next period and the Lightning rep was walking the three of them around the concourse to wherever it was they were supposed to go. I yelled over to them "HEY, I'll buy you guys a soda after the game" and right away they shot back "Yeah, but none of that stinkin' root beer". Funny stuff...
Seen that movie so many times
Good for you Steve! Thank you for the many hours of enjoyment while growing up and watching Slap Shot over and over again.
This was so so so good. Thanks Mr. Hansen

"Ben on s'met du foil, ça protège les mains, en veux-tu ?" Quebec version is a classic.
Hey Steve, it's Jim Starr in Hershey, PA ... I am glad you are doing well and I appreciate the tour. lol - It's been a while since the AHL team you played on (Baltimore Skipjacks) came to Hershey to play the Bears and all you guys would do the "snake" on the ice at the end of warmups. Remember that winning streak you and Baltimore had, I believe it was a 17 game win streak and the funny thing was that the streak started when you beat the Bears ... and 17 games later you were back in Hershey and the Bears ended your streak. See Bennett Wolfe much? : ) ... You and the rest of the Hanson's posed for a pic with me when you guys came to the area for a charity game. You guys had a bad temper as you started roughing me up just because I asked you if you wanted a stinkin' root beer. ... I mean, you could of just said No. LOL - ... I grew up in Rome. NY which is next to Utica NY and we used to go and see the Mohawk Valley Comets games. There is one scene in the movie where is was shot at the Utica War Memorial Auditorium. Slap Shot really captured what semi-pro hockey was like in the 70"s. It's now the Utica Comets and the place is the Adirondack Bank Center.

I've heard stories about how wild the old Comets games were. Glad the new Comets do pay homage to old Comets. My grandmother went to the filming at The Aud. She was a huge Paul Newman fan. For years, she only ever saw the edited version of the film and would call to tell us it was on tv. The first time she ever saw the unedited version, she frantically called us to tell us to turn it off haha.

I was there at the war memorial in SYR, during the filming!! The keys! Great video , thank you for making it! That guy is awesome hopefully the cancer is gone for ever !
I remember the first time I saw the movie as a kid in my home country of Finland, it was in the late-1970's or early-1980's. Me, my brother, our dad and our friends gathered around the TV to watch the movie; we laughed out loud with tears in our eyes, it was so much fun! 😂 Our mom did not appreciate all the noise and screaming in our apartment building flat. Those moments will never return again but I am happy to have experienced them. So thanks again for all the wonderful memories of Slapshot, best regards! 🏒🏆🥊💥🇫🇮
Thanks Steve! Awesome. Slap Shot is the best hockey movie ever made!
Slapshot...My ultimate favorite movie...My hometown Hornepayne NW Ontario is where Goldie Goldthorpe grew up and played hockey...He was the inspiration for Ogie Ogilthorpe in the movie. Also a little known fact...It was the first American movie translated in french in Quebec. No doubt that Yvon Barrette/Denis Lemieux and Yvan Ponton/Jean-Guy Drouin had something to do with that...They would've say something like " If you do the translation in France like usual, It will sound totally stupid " In Quebec, Hockey is way stronger than religion 👍👍
My family had a storefront business on Main St. It was in the parade scene, and we had to change the name (all fictitious). It was 3rd in from corner of Main & Franklin -- green and white stripes on the front.
low budget movie that made it BIG..!!!!!!!....
God Bless you Steve!
