For the 2nd build, can shift the sub woofer below the table would make quite a lot of space on the desk.

I use a 6 monitor setup, it's perfect for devops/sysadmin type work. Usually two of them are just monitoring systems while the rest are used active work crap

I have 3 monitors. The 2 extras are old monitors. Have one to the left I use to watch KZread or look at EFT maps while playing games. The third monitor above is not just a dedicated clock with rainmeter.

I also do have 3x1440p and I am constantly running out of screen real estate. One is dedicated to communication (Outlook, WhatsApp, Signal, Teams etc.), one for main work, browsing, and one as temp window deposit

Ali and his Optimum Tech channel are always at the forefront of innovation.

Handrandomsnaps setup looks like a normal office PC setup w nice speakers attached. The upgrade here should on the display. That one looks like a 19". Should go w/ a 27" or larger. The PC can/should go on the floor unless replaced by an ITX case like you suggested.

On monitor height. I personally prefer to have the center of my monitor to be exactly at eye level. This way my head and neck are straight up and slightly leaning on my headrest. My neck pain disappeared with this configuration

about the second setup..... You say he has hardly any space for mouse movement.... but for me, mine is exactly the same. I have no issues gaming. I have my mouse at 1600dpi, although every now and then I do bump my mouse into the keyboard but that's very rare (normally it makes me crash the chopper in Battlefield).

From experience, the alyx ikea drawers and a herman miller aeron don't make for the best combo. The desk is just slightly too high off the ground for the available height of the chair.

I think the high monitor one is a sit stand desk... the desk set low for seating, but the monitors (prob on an arm mounted on the wall) is set for standing. and thats why the cable management thing looks weird, as it has to stretch up and down *Edit just scrolled the comments

Rule is generally matching eyes to 1/2 to 2/3 the height of the monitor. Matching with the top of the screen and you'll hurt your neck bending forward for 1000s of hours

For ergonomic monitor height, it is most ergonomic for your eyes to be roughly 2/3rds to 3/4ers up the screen. You don't want along the top bezel, that's too low for your neck comfort. -Human Ergonomics Bachelors and Masters
