Reviewing My Second Powerlifting Block - Sika Strength Programming

Спорт

I've now been using Sika Strength to program for me for 20 weeks leading up to a national powerlifting competition. This is a review of the second block including full programming to get some PBs.

i literally just had 5 sets of 10 at 120kg not even 2 hours ago in my hypertrophy block. you are very very correct sir, its not at all easy. been doing 5 sets of 8-12 for 2 mesos now and every day is hellish but also wonderful in a way lol

Congrats on making it this far, looking forward to the finish! also, that is one sexy excel sheet, how can we make our own? -not looking for a step by step breakdown, but if/when youve got the time, could you perhaps point us noobs towards a few educational resources that are relevant for tracking, categorization and analysis of lifting relating stuff? And thanks for awesome motivation!

The lower volume for the deadlifts seem to really help your other lifts. I found that deadlifts were costing too much energy and prevented the other lifts from progressing. My deadlift is progressing now with only 5 sets a week

Similar experience was hitting them twice a week frequency with a variation day and comp lift day. Dropped it to just comp day 3 working sets and still progressed without lower back been permanently smoked

@@HadynWiseman well your numbers are looking solid. So don't discount yourself just yet. All the extra Ab work will hopefully translate to you supporting a heavier squat in the future. Big squats and deads = big totals in raw powerlifting.
