I beg of you, once youve finished all of the "Reviewing Every Spell" videos, please make a "Every Spell Supercut" video thats like 4 hours long

40 minutes got him to G of Cantrips... I think it might be more like 8 to 10 hours.

@@GuatemalanJedi By my math, it'd be closer to 35 hours (and that's just with the spells currently in the game). 1400 current spells / 10 spells per video = 140 videos 140 videos x 15 minutes per video (the run time is 20 minutes but I'm assuming the supercut would remove the ad/intro/outro in every episode and I'm estimating that at 5 minutes each) = 2100 minutes 2100 minutes/60 (to convert to hours) = 35 hours Plus if he continues to do 10 spells per video and 1 video per week, it'd take near 3 years to finish the series so that count will only grow.

Yeah but its like really good for algorithm right now
A small note about Glass Shield: since it has actual hit points, there is a chance that an enemy attack might NOT break it, allowing the caster to reuse it the following round. Sure, it's pretty much slim to none, but it's better than nothing, ne c'est pas?
@bjwessels
Ай бұрын
Unfortunately, you can't reuse it, since it's the Shield Block reaction that causes the spell to end and the 10 minute cooldown. But it would have been cool if you could.
@challst
Ай бұрын
@@bjwessels I was going to make @alarkhar's comment as well and then noticed the same downside. I'm hoping that Glass Shield gets erratta'd (though I expect that a cantrip is low priority) so that it has the exact effect @alarkhar mentioned (or pehaps has a longer duration - like a minute - but it auto-Shield Blocks the first incoming attack each round until broken. That way the +1 AC doesn't last too long for a cantrip and the damage will happen.
@genma200sj

@@bjwessels You could take both this and shield, to soak damage twice (or have a circumstance bonus while shield is on cooldown).

The hit points were removed in errata and it now always explodes.
Oh hey more cantrips! I am sure glad there won't be any more cantrips added later that make deciding what to do about that difficult.
The irony of this is that this is going to take so long (/pos) that Paizo is INEVITABLY going to release another book focusing on spellcasters and adding a bajillion more spells not covered by this series.
Gouging Claws on a Magus is looking something beautiful
@EnemyN7
Ай бұрын
I agree. Currently playing as Starlit Span Magus with Mithral Tree (which is a gun). There's another beautiful thing in this - 500 feet of range to cast fireball with a spellstrike.
That ending though. Chef's kiss
I will add: the problem with Frostbite being a saving throw severely hinders my magus who has pyrophobia and relies on cold damage.
Magus really hate spell attack rolls being removed :)
@hellfrozenphoenix13
Ай бұрын
Yeah. They did get some options to replace but...they lost more than they gained. Maybe they can give the magus a little bonus to compensate? I feel the spell should just have their saving Throws reflect the hit of the attack (They fail if they got hit? Crit fail if they got crit? Unsure if that works alone)
@mikaelious9550
Ай бұрын
@@hellfrozenphoenix13 Would be nice if they had the Disintegrate treatment, where critting would make the enemy's saving throw one step worse than their roll. I think that'd really make Expansive Spellstrike more reliable, especially since at max level, your casting DC is gonna be at least -3 compared to full casters. (Apex items not taken into account)
@hellfrozenphoenix13
Ай бұрын
@mikaelious9550 thats a good idea. I just think Magus needs to be freed up a little with how they can Spellstrike baseline. Can it be powerful? Yes. But that's also part of the fun of it imo
@JacksonOwex
Ай бұрын
@@hellfrozenphoenix13 Pretty sure it has been stated(by Paizo) that, even in Society, you CAN still use the old spells as long as the there weren't directly replaced, like you can still use Shocking Grasp because there is no DIRECT replacement but using Force Barrage(or whatever it's called) and Magic Missile isn't allowed, not sure why you'd want to do that anyway.
@hellfrozenphoenix13
Ай бұрын
@JacksonOwex while correct, some of the replaced spells went from attack to saving throw. Not a bad thing baseline, but bad for Magus. This why I think they may need to reconsider the restrictions on Spellstrike and think what they want from it. Magus is already a class that has limited resources for their main class feature, so I think expanding what they can do baseline is a good start point.
"Middle of summer", you know we just began Summer? =P About Glass Shield, is the 10 min between 2 casts applicable? It's not very clear seeing how it's been worded. They should have made a complete explanation rather than the "as this one spell/ability" habit Paizo has sometimes, like for abilities in monster entries (and yeah that's quite bad when you prepare a session and have to be redirected to 3 different other pages to get what a monster's abilities are)
@mikaelious9550

The description in Archives of Nethys directly states that yes, Shield Blocking with Glass Shield imposes the 10 minute cooldown. In that version, it also doesn't have HP, rather just always shattering when you Shield Block. I don't know if it's an older or newer version. EDIT: It's a newer version. Glass Shield was errata'd along with the remaster.
@Cykotr0n

After the use of Shield Block, you can't cast it for 10 minutes. But if you don't use shield block between the end of your turn and the start of your next turn, you can recast it. Kinda meant for 1 time use between fights. Personally I attempt to have my Cavern Elf Rogue get through Ancestry Feats and Minor Magic get Deep Breath, Glass shield, Shield, and Eat Fire.
I’m new to pf2e r and I adore spell casting!! These videos can’t come fast enough
I like using both glass shield and shield - use shield's shield block and then just use glass shield for the +1 AC bonus.
I love how you review these spells ! I think it will be so boring with anyone else, but here, it's fun !
Glass Shields damage has the earth trait and thus slows a Wood Golem if you can get it off. My Strength of Thousands party learned that last night and it was very helpful ☺️
About the glass shield, there is another hoop to jump through for the damage part to occur as well. The shield needs to *break* for it to deal damage, so you have to calculate how much damage a hit needs to be to break it, in order for it to be worth a reaction to block. 1st rank: 6dmg or more 3rd rank: 10dmg or more 5th rank: 23dmg or more 7th rank: 34dmg or more 9th rank 44dmg or more
The trick with guidance is the player that recieves it, remembering to call out its use before the roll. I totally haven't been in a game for the last 6 months where we completely forget to use guidance cast upon us....
Its worth pointig out that Fristbite has a range of 60". Similarly, Slashing Gust also has 60". Handy if the battlefield is large.
That's D-G, buddy.
there's a nice note on figment on archive of Nethys, it says that it can conceal or provide cover (but not both)
As an arcane caster you could have both Shield and Glass shield, Because thy don't share the same 10 minutes cooldown.
For the longer time I thought NoNat1 was saying NoNad1 😱 which sounds painful assuming the 1 Nad lost was due to accident
Gouging Claw would be perfect.... if it didn't proc reactive strikes.
About Gale Blast: I thought verbal and somatic no longer were a thing, somatic spells just have the manipulate trait and verbal is the auditory trait. Or is Gale Blast legacy content?
gouging claw with reach. I ain't got to be in melee! That ending is hilarious.
"Middle of summer" oh buddy.. summer just started. 😅 Good thing global warming isn't real /s
Love the spell list content
But if you take both glas and normal shield do you now have a replacement shield?
Wish you would do some videos on good relics or good relic combinations or one suitable for classes etc.
Now, in Remastered edition, if a character learns the Hymn of Healing Bard level 1 feat through the Bard archetype, does he gets a Focus Point too ou just the feat (even though he does not have a Focus Point to use it)?
Wait. Eat fire? A konrasu ( or however is spelled)? Du mean rehua?
Yup proper reaction XD
I conjure algorithm.... also. The only one left were the heart that formed from lost liquids or gasses that grant more people it's final gift for the great martyr he is and Nensv agrees to allow it to exist in space just like the one that nearly killed earth's magic in this world works the power of this 0th ability should be immense and it's inability to be expressed causes perpetual absorption of small amounts of gas around what was his joints and navel stretched into a circle around his spine and released a soft rubber like substance that filled it that then replicated itself times farther upp and could manifest wind and lightning damage and can't regulate heat up the dice roll and spell level used to mutate it to times and starts to harm all.
Yknow. Shield block only being available to martials is kinda dumb. I feel like that should be a general feat or something unless they make it so only martials can use shields at all.
@bamfalu
Ай бұрын
unless you meant another effect/feat, shield block is a general feat, and thus, can be picked up by anyone. and off the top of my head, druid's start with the shield block feat; there might be others, as well, i just don't know them off the top of my head
@extrakrispy81

@@bamfalu oh did I misunderstand what nonat said in the video then? The way he worded it made it seem like only martials could make shields reduce damage.

got to the part where he talks about glass shield and he definitely says what you heard, lol but, i'm assuming that he mispoke and meant that those classes can start with it, as part of the class kit. shield block itself is just a general feat, so anyone willing to spend a general feat pick on it can definitely grab it
@extrakrispy81

@bamfalu alright glad I'm not going crazy. It sounded weird and bad. Probably why I thought it should be a general feat (because it is).
Few more to go
