Good to see you again Nigel. I’ve lost my mojo many times over the 60 years I been modeling, gave it up entirely at one point for 20 years I can’t understand why people post non-constructive comments(if they are so great try this yourself). Good review and I love the drill. Keep on keeping on, i think your formula works great and I have relearned/learned many new things from you. Take care mate.

Appears I started reviewing you channel at the wrong time. I watched your full build video of the Sherman Tank when I should have started here. I really liked you honesty and suggestions about performing builds as complete (aka complicated) as this one. I used to love builds in my teens but got away from them when I started working and got married. Now at 70+ years I'd love to start again but as I see the detailed work you EXPERTs do I think I just better WATCH. However if you have any ideas or suggestion how and OLD F A _ T like me might get back into this hobby I'd welcome the input.... PLEASE keep modelling and share you knowledge .... A Canadian viewer / subscriber.

Good to see you Nigel. I am a recent subscriber having recently taken up modelling again thanks to you. I love your no fuss channel, just very clear advice and help. Recently built the revell Saturn v with your help, currently building the revell HMS victory. My next project lined up is the revell dambusters. Enjoyed your build guide so far 1_7 and was hoping for more but understand you have lots of projects on the go. Thanks again for the inspiration.

I'm currently building this kit - only problem I had was the poor alignment of the molds - lots of seam lines, hence a lot of scraping and sanding! Also, I had to study the instructions for a bit before finally cracking it on how to assemble the bogies. Once the first bogie was done, the others followed very quickly.

Good to see you back so soon 😀. Just wanted to let you know. When I’m not feeling the mojo I sit at my bench. Log into KZread and find one of your playlist to watch. I watch and do something small on a kit I have on the go. By the time the playlist is done I have made major progress on my kit. Thank You Nige.

Hang in there, it's not easy to stay focused sometimes but it's worth it. I get burned out sometimes too but If I get stalled I'll sit that one aside and start another. Any tamiya kit can help you get it back. Especially a motorcycle kit or egg kit.

Hi Nigel .. The Turret was cast as one piece but had a mold seam that was left from the casting process. So that is not a weld seam … The seam was grinded off by the workers so check your references as they could be very rough … If you're doing Paper Doll it seems it had T66 type tracks so you can save your sanity and find some easier tracks to build.. Have fun and enjoy yourself ..

I too from time to time lose my MOJO and handle it in the same way, build something completely different. I usually get a small kit not too expensive. I too have learned a lot from you, especially on the ju88. Hang in there, it will come back.

Nothing like having no mojo Nige, it happens to me - with model railway commissions. My cure is to go off and build something different (in my case at the moment, with something I'd started) - HMCS Snowberry is back on the workbench and I've made some progress ;)

Build whatever you want in whatever order you want to do so, big guy. As far as sticking to the really high-quality kits ("Tamiya-like fit..."), that's fine, too. I admit, though, that I like watching -- and LEARNING from the doing -- the Revell-level kits and how you share all the years of insights and techniques you've developed for overcoming their 'shortcomings.' You know the kits I'm referring to; the ones where you're getting rid of steps and lots of flash and ejection pin marks, mars, imperfections and such (like with that 1:144 Saturn V). As far as 'getting too many kits,' what's that about? I look at that like being rich and famous. You can never be too rich, or too famous, right? So you can never have too many kits, as far as I'm concerned. And you'll get around to completing them one day, I'm sure. Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither can many of these models be done so quickly, either (one of my friends took 18 months -- which is extreme, I freely admit -- to build that space shuttle/SRB/fuel tank/launch pad lash-ups ;-). So keep on keeping on, my brother from another mother. I look forward to these reviews and to the builds you're doing. I never fail to walk away from one of them learning something new about this hobby, that's for sure.

Well Nige. After the build along videos it seems I look at instructions in much the same way as you. As soon as I saw the turret I thought "this is just asking for details to get broken off. What is further along with the turret". A couple of kits that are just a bit different from the norm you may want to look at, Miniart Soviet Ball Tank, and Fine Molds Type 5 Chi-Ri. I can't speak for either of the kits, but as I said above they are just different from the usual German, Soviet or U.S armor subjects.

Just a thought. While waiting for your enthusiasm to return you could give us an update, or overview, of your jeep project. Or tell us about your Land rover if I haven't falsely remembered its existence. Or you could tell us something about your reference library. You have a nice style which I'm sure would be enjoyed beyond plastic kits. Best wishes Nigel.

just try keeping it simple this build nigel,no interior so just a nice looking sherman tank build eh,try not to worry too much about the newer modellers with this one so much as they have plenty of your previous videos to already go on for that, just enjoy it for yourself, the 2 tone late war camo scheme looks real sweet, you will do it real justice I'm sure, pose it with the Amusing hobby German tank destroyer you did last Xmas maybe,if you did get around to painting that one that is,lol?yeah, get some Fruel tracks like Mark C says maybe, and enjoy building this iconic tank kit, cheers

Nige - good to see you have bought another kit!!! May I make a suggestion about the build of this kit. Why don't you set up the camera and build - no explaining, no chat in fact no sound just put up a unedited video each time you do some work on it. Will take the pressure off you and allow you to build at your own pace. I am sure many would be interested - loos a good kit.

Just build straight through without trying to upgrade, correct or add to. Too many times we buy a kit and immediately start thinking about all the ways we need to improve upon an otherwise excellent kit.

Once you are familiar with loading the 'jig' properly its simple, you just glue the rubber pads. After a couple of times you get the hang of it.And they work and look pretty good, even get a slight 'sag' over return rollers.

Tracks are very good,Might take longer than Magic Tracks, but they are strong and look pukka.Shame you got the seam lines, mine was OK, no flash at all,Just looked at sprues. Its RFM 1st US WW2 tank kit,RFM new jagdpanther kit will be good, its based on thier Panther G w/interior kit.If you know a good MTB or E boat model,i'd be all ears.
