The float setting on the hydraulics is not a "lock-down" setting but the opposite: It allows the hydraulics to float, or flow without restriction. So the bed, then, can be lifted manually or dropped slowly if already lifted. AND, any other hydraulics connected via quick-connect, would also float or move unrestricted (well at a slower pace than being completely free).

Great video! I just bought an RTV X 1140 as well and love it. My only concern is that it blow a bit of whittish smoke on every start up. Just Curios if yours does the same? Only have 11 hours on it and it's 60 to 70 degrees down over here in Texas, not much cold weather. Thanks for any input.

@@brianvazquez4572 I just bought an X1140 and I also own a Kubota ZD326 mower with the Diesel engine. Puffs a little smoke at every startup. Also when engaging the deck. It is a diesel trait. I wouldn't worry unless it smoked continuously. The smoke you are seeing should be a grayish smoke. Enjoy your X1140!

Tim, I took delivery of my X1140 Friday. I purchased the Kubota version of the QuadGear Roll Cage Organizer and it doesn't fit the X1140. Were the straps long enough on the one you linked to on your X1140 or did you have to add additional strap to make it work?

How is your bed liner holding up? I just signed the contract for my X1140. The dealer just got two in and he doesn't order them with the factory bed liner. Like yours, he lines them if the customer wants that. He feels the process they use is better than Kubotas as they line areas Kubota doesn't according to him. At least he guarantees to stand behind it. Just curious if you're finding it durable still.

I know you put a winch on it but does it block the front hitch receiver hole? I have a 1140 but have not checked winches as yet. Also, did you by chance ever use the front hitch for anything? My trailer hitch fits the hole but the pin holes do not line up. Any information/thoughts on this? Thanks. Also, nice video. I appreciate the thoughts & information.
