Also liked at the end the 2 things you disliked and that fact you stated if you want speed over work this isn't the vehicle for you. Thanks for the honest review.

    I just bought one and it’s great. I also have a Polaris Ranger XP and although it’s a lot faster and definitely better at the harder off road trails, the RTV does very well. It’s obviously a lot slower but it’s smooth, has good traction and is very easy on fuel. I never thought I’d have so much fun going so slow haha!

    We have a 1100 at my work, just had a recall on the rear knuckles. The thing is awesome, it's great the heat and air conditioning is awesome. Although it does have some issues, the main one I have is that it's under powered. I can load one scoop with a 36" bucket with our backhoe and it significantly hinders the power and makes it struggle, it will still do it and it will handle more but it needs more power, sometimes I feel like on a incline with a trailer and a load in the bed that it's going to come to a stop and not be able to power through it and we don't have time to drive around in low range all day. Also the the parking brake knob comes loose and comes off and spins around also and replacing it only fixes it for about a month. Also the shifter is awful, even if you have the brake to the floor it is still a pain in the butt, sometimes you cannot get it in drive without backing up and trying again. Other than that it's pretty good, comfortable, newt works good along with the AC, handles well. We also have 3 other rtv 900's that get used and abused everyday and they still get the job done.

    There are some things you can do for power. 1 - if your model has a spark arrester (not all do) make sure its clean. These can plug up and choke the exhaust. 2 - when you service it, make sure to ONLY use Kubota SUDT2 transmission fluid. They can be finicky with the wrong fluid. 3 - there is a hand throttle kit available that you can use to raise the Rev's independently of the drive pedal. This way you have power right away, rather than waiting for the machine to rev up and build hydraulic pressure. your right about shifting, they have never been great.

    Centrifugal clutch machine will not necessarily freewheel, it all depends on the machine, like Yamaha's Ultramatic CVT, it has a oneway clutch which keeps the belt tensioned all the time giving you actual engine braking, so it don't freewheel. While, Yamaha's CVT freewheels when you let off the throttle. So not all machines are the same, they will vary from manufacturer to manufacturer.

    I’m really kinda disappointed that the boss UTV V plow will not quick hitch onto my B2650 the way it is set up from the design I really wanted one for next year. I really wish it had an adapter that would fit into the same B2714C front male implement coupler like the straight blade or the snow blower I have on the tractor Now that Kubota offers. But my dealer couldn’t help me out and said what I was trying to do is impossible!!! Nothing is impossible it just takes some more time to figure it out.

    UTVs are great and all but in my opinion japanese mini trucks just make more sense, and I wish more after market manufacturers would take note like for snow plows. Heavier duty, larger bed, ability to go in and out of 4wd, is street legal in many places so contractor wise makes more sense to be able to go around a whole small city/village area, and have some off-road capability too with lift kits and such. Just more ideal in my opinion. Granted they’re older they’re also much much cheaper for a vehicle with a complete factory cab, and after accessories you’re still looking at a lot less than most UTVs

    @ Messicks I used to sell commercial trucks and my biggest frustration was two main issues. Different states had different fee structures and permissions and different states had different rules on advertising of destination charges from the manufacturer. For example, here in PA there wasn't a whole lot to hide and the "document" fee was capped by law at $135, however, down in VA the doc fee was often $599 and destination charge was not required to be part of the advertised price (around $1300 for a truck). Do you guys see the same challenges in equipment or is it less confusing for customers? I've never bought new equipment that was expensive enough to look into this.

  • @MessicksEquip

    @MessicksEquip

    6 жыл бұрын

    We don't really have different legal requirements between states, but there are differences in their fee structures. Pennsylvania in particular has one of the most expensive UCC filing fees in the country, and that's often a surprise.

It test the amperage while putting a load on the battery. That will tell you real quick what the problem is. Sounds like just a weak battery to me. Even a new battery can be weakened if someone forgets to turn the lights off and runs it down. You can usually charge it back up. But the damage is done. It wont ever be the same.

    Messick Farm Equipment I’m at 1100’ or so. Yes, if you bury the pedal even in low range with the AC on and going up a grade it will really big. Lifting the pedal lets the RPM rise. If it had more power then I guess it would need expensive emissions equipment.

    Jason Daniels I’ve made some adjustments that I found on a forum and it’s helped a little bit. I can use the knob near the dump lever to run the RPM’s to max but it doesn’t do much after the adjustments. When the AC is on it feels like the parking brake is on.

    @@89vette1 I'd bring it back and have it checked out. Sounds like something is plugged.

    Tyler Pickle Actually if you research the word Deer it CAN BE pronounced Deers but it's very uncommon.

    Jason B True but if you did your research you would know that it's only common usage would be when referring to multiple species at once. IE you see a Mule deer and a Whitetail next to each other you coud say "Look at those deers". But in reality no one is ever going to say that. Unless they are uneducated and don't know any better.

    for under 20k you can get this Kubota, and it has A/C, and a vastly more durable transmission.

    30K?!?? Good lord....My neighbor has the JD, and we have been comparing ours. He found his on the used market. So I wasn’t sure of the new price...I paid right at 20K for my RTV, came with the radio, work lights, upgraded tow package (it’s an extension that makes it easier to mount the receiver) and some other little items. It’s as good or better than the JD, IMHO
