    Thanks for this review Neil. Saw one at our local dealer so I figured you'd have a video on it. Your review got me thinking for the first time about replacing our 2007 Gator XUV620i. Power steering would be a big plus. A few years ago I put the power-dump actuator on the bed, it was painfully expensive but now I use it all the time.

    They do drive great for what they are. Drove one a few weeks ago. Open diff in the back with a lock pedal makes it easy to back and turn without tearing things up. They ride quality is very good, too.

    Its a huge factor if you actually use a UTV for work rather than play. I had a Yamaha Rhino 700 and it really tore up whatever you were driving on if you had to turn because the rear axle was locked all the time.

    those that are comparing a RTV or ( SXS ) to a jeep or truck make no sense to me . New trucks cost closer to $80k . You can still buy a wore out rtv or SXS for $1500 too . So then compare new to new or dont .try to follow me all day in that truck and see whats left of it . these machines float across rough terrain at 25 mph , go in tight area with very light footprints . Are extremely quiet . Bench seats slide in and out all day fixing fences . I can go on and on

    Took the number right off their website, they're not trying to hid anything just gotta take a moment to search. The trouble is do you or most others for that matter have scales at their house to run their vehicle & load up on to see what it weighs? Nope, would they do so if they had the scale, nope. If you want to haul and tow buy a truck, if you don't want to empty your wallet on a toy buy a truck. UTV's and ATV's anymore are sport based :(. Prices have become ridiculous on them regardless what stickers and colors you buy, they're considered a toy/sport you gotta pay to play. You can buy a damn nice truck for what one of these toys cost. Been there done that with a Yamaha Rhino, got rid of it and bought a truck does everything the Rhino did but easier, same roads and trails the rhino would go down you can take a small pickup.

    MSRP for bare bones basic model is about $13,600...that would buy you a pretty damn nice used truck with an actual cab, heater and working AC. Or buy a Suzuki Samari for a couple thousand bucks if you want a removable top or even a Jeep Wrangler.

    Never really understood these things. From any brand. For the price that you pay for one (i would guess $15k or better), you could by a 4x4 s10, For 1/3 the price and haul twice as much. Or buy a Subaru station wagon for $3,000 bucks and put even more stuff in the back, have awd still and a pocket full of money. I get the weekend warrior race models. But as far as "work" ones, ide rather save the money and buy a beater truck or better yet, put my chainsaw and firewood in my tractor. I personally have a k1500 that just stays on my property. 160k miles 4x4 5.7 v8. Leather. Heat, ac. Paid $1000 for it. It will go any where in the woods one of these would go, tow more and haul more all day long.

    I've owned a UTV, or Side By Side and I agree with Matt... the ridiculous prices on these toys you can buy a pretty damn nice truck for less and have a cab, heater, AC, etc. These things are nothing more than rich people's play toys anymore, most never use them for their utility purpose with a few exceptions, most just buy them to play in, that's fine if you got the never ending pocket book, but for those of us who work for a living just buy an old Ford Ranger, Chevy S10, or similar trucks and do the same stuff for a small fraction of the price that a UTV costs and far less money spent for parts than what UTV parts & accessories cost.

  • @wildbill23c

    @wildbill23c

    5 жыл бұрын

    And the ridiculous prices for repairs if you can't do them yourself, and parts for these toys are ridiculous as well. I'll keep my Ford Ranger that only cost me $800, its 4WD has a heater, working air conditioner, radio, doors, cab, etc. You couldn't get a cab for one of these toys for $800...at least not one that will actually keep you warm and dry LOL. Configure a Polaris Ranger with a full cab, heat & AC and you got $24k+ tied up in that thing and when something goes wrong its not going to be a cheap fix :(.
