Review of For The Home Cording by Lion Brand

I review For The Home Cording by Lion Brand. I bought this at Hobby Lobby.
Some points to hit on are if you have arthritis please use the recommended hook and try to crochet a little loosely. There is a lot of resistance in this yarn and no elasticity so that could hurt arthritic issues you may have.
Weaving in the ends was a bit annoying because the cording was unraveling and making it more difficult.
The way this product is wound is not conducive to fast crocheting. If this was wound in a cone or a ball it would be much easier to work with while crocheting.
With all that being said, this yarn was very pliable and easy to work with once I got the hang of it. I was using a 5.00 MM hook and it recommends a 5.5 MM hook. I think if I use the recommended hook I would have been much more comfortable.
Overall I give it a 6 out of 10. and I would buy it again.
I think this would be good for purses, coasters, placemats, any wall hangings, bowls, Keychains, And possibly bracelets.
Thanks so much for watching! Happy Mail/Letters welcome and will be featured on the channel in video!

FYI, I just got this yarn at Hobby Lobby for $1.49. I purchased 6 of the buff yesterday 3/17/23. 😊 I think if you burn the ends, it should stop it from fraying, but I haven't tried burning it yet. Thank you for showing a project with this! Side note, it wasn't as difficult to pull from the center with the one I tried.

I picked up a bunch on clearance at hobby lobby today. I'm looking forward to working with it. Thanks for the heads up on the ends. Maybe burning them would help?

It doesn't necessarily split, yet the polyester thread it's wound in easily gets snagged if caught just right. I think it would make a great yarn for a purse - but the price is too steep. Found a skein on Amazon for $4+ with prime. Though I'm going to use it to make medieval braiding. Thanks for your review. I would give it a "5" - your "6" is generous.

Interesting yarn! I’d probably buy it on clearance cause the price is steep as you noted for the amount of yardage!
