I can’t wait for the Eclipse! Got to test a prototype months ago. I’ve been using the Dream ports a year. They don’t leak! When I open a new 2-week box of the adhesives, I trim all the points at one time and cut the ports (still on the backing sheet) by twos and store them in a clear plastic box on the bathroom counter, along with cotton rounds for witch hazel. So it’s super quick to put them on at night. I have mild sleep apnea. Because these babies don’t leak, my pressure has been reduced several times and it no longer pops my mouth open. I have sensitive skin and these have never bothered me. Great for side sleeping. No, Bleep is not paying me for this rousing endorsement. 😊

I, too, have sensitive skin and in 3+ years of using the Bleep have had no issues. Also tested the Eclipse and loved it, can't wait to get my pre-order! I generally trim a sheet at a time so they are ready for use each night.

I love my current Bleep system. LOVE! Not having a headgear messing up my hair and marking up my face and zero leaking-I’m never going back. I’ve already pre-ordered the Eclipse, and can’t wait for it to arrive. (But I’d honestly be perfectly happy using my current Bleep forever, too)

Stuart kindly sent to me a sample pack of the Eclipse and I absolutely fell in love with it. I am currently using the N30i which is by far my favorite headgear mask because of the low leak rate and the ability to wear it with an ultra wide headband as to not suffer from hair breakage. However, with the Eclipse I got ZERO leaks. I also use mouth tape. The one thing I did with with the Eclipse tube was to attach the MedLock magnetic device on the ends of the hose and tube since I ran into problems with the Dreamway tube separating from the adapter on the end. With the MedLock it added a wee bit of weight, however, it was a non-issue. The tube draped nicely and I slept very well with the Eclipse. I have it on pre-order and understand that it will ship next week. Oh…one other thing…to save time I pre-trim my Halos by taking one sheet and trimming them down and cutting them into pairs. That way I prep, apply the Halos and attach the Eclipse. I can do this very quickly and seriously saw little to no difference in the time it took to get ready for bed. Mask type is a very personal thing for most people and there is no right or wrong mask. Just find what works, as the proper mask is the weakest link IMHO with CPAP therapy. Wish everyone much success with their therapy. 😊

I've been using the Dreamports since they first became available and they have been wonderful. I have the new model on pre-order, and just got shipping notification. My skin does tend to be sensitive to medical adhesive tape, I need to use cloth tape for any kind of wound dressing, however, the adhesive on the Dreamports has never caused any issues. I use a "cotton round" doused in witch hazel to wipe down before bed. It works well, but is not drying like alcohol can be.

I got an email from the manufacturer and the pre-orders are shipping in the next few weeks. I'm looking forward to using this. Sure, sometimes I'm too sleepy to deal with nose stickers, that's what the Brevida is for. Sometimes the pillows irritate my nostrils, so I use the (original) Bleep occasionally. The thing I like most about the Eclipse (over the original) is that there's no hard plastic connectors to poke into my face when I'm on my side.

On the second night I used the Bleep Eclipse I ordered and what a great difference. I had mouth leaks until I used some of the Cover-Roll mouth tape, then it was lights out with very few leaks. I've been using the Dreamports since like May of this year. Took about a week to get used to the design, fitting, but after that it's been amazing. Got my pressures dialed in and 90% of my nights are leak free and AHI stays under 2 since adopting them. Been reaching out to Stuart a lot, he's probably slightly annoyed, but he's been a huge help in many ways. Highly recommend this system if you have trouble with leaks in the middle of the night or just can't stand headgear like me!

Received my Bleep Eclipse system 3 days ago. So far, loving it! After 3 nights of usage and 2 years of CPAP usage, I wake up feeling more refreshed compared to my other masks!!! Highly recommend. The Pro's...Second everything Lefty stated Cost (if not using insurance), ease of use, no facial marks, no headgear hair, no readjusting during the night and no more replacing stretchy headgear every 3-6 months! Cons...(looks like a lot, but its not, just very wordy LOL) The instructions are very hard to read for a 51 year old LOL. I did not see there is a Front and Back on the mask and I also missed it in this video. I had the mask on backwards for my first time use. It sounded like crinkling paper ever time I inhaled. Watched this video again and that's when I caught, the little bumps go in front. Much better!!! You likely will need a tube hanger. I start out on my back, then move to my side and don't use a tube hanger. When on my back, the mask places a lot of pressure just under the nose and will pull to the side if I let the hose hang over the edge of bed. A tube hanger will fix this. If I move to my side, it will feel like it is trying to rip your nose off your face, LOL. Again a tube hanger will help. Like Lefty stated, you can hear yourself in and exhale. It sounds pretty loud. So odd it seems amplified with the Eclipse compared to other masks. As Lefty also stated, my Fiancee also doesn't hear any difference. It only took me a couple nights to get used to it, now I fall asleep pretty quickly again. I do have concerns, over time, how much damage will the Halos do to my skin? Highly recommend. This is my new nightly mask! At least until Bleep comes up with something new or my skin can no longer use the halos, LOL.

Bleep ware, Dreamport user here. A couple of things, the had trouble with the alcohol wipes, much prefer the witch hazel wipes. When I get leaks if I don’t put the dream ports on right, I get my leaks the same place you do. I have never cut the ports, well tried it once, but I am such a klutz, I had trouble with that, so for me, it is all in the placement no cuts. Also when I get up in the middle of the night, I disconnect the hose, towards the top, where the air vents are, don’t like walking around like an elephant.

The Eclipse is my absolute favorite mask, but not the only mask I use. I rotate mask usage, 5 days a week with the Eclipse, 1 night a week with the Evora Full Face and 1 night with the ResMed AirTouch F20 Full Face. If I have a cold or bad allergy I don't use the Eclipse. I use the Eclipse with a V-Com and mouth tape (CPAP and no EPR). I notice much better flow limit results when using the V-Com, at least for me. With the full face masks my pressure is CPAP of 15.6cm and with the Eclipse/V-Com it's 13. The Eclipse is a little more sensitive to rainout. With the full face masks I set my heated tube AirSense machine to 8 (live in Phoenix where it's as dry as an oven) and with the Eclipse the most I can set it is 4. I was having an issue with a nose bleed using the Eclipse because it blows directly on the septum and dries it out. So, after applying the adhesive I put a little Vaseline on a Q-tip and rub it on my septum and that cured the nosebleed problem. Here's a pro tip for applying the nasal stickers. I use the rounded end of an old iPad stylus to line up the metal rings to my nostril. Slide the metal ring over the stylus and then remove the adhesive backing and insert the rounded end of the stylus, aimed in the same direction as your nasal passage, a little ways into your nostril. Slide the ring up the stylus and apply it to your nose, remove the stylus and voila, the metal rings are perfectly centered on your nostril, then rub the adhesive down to make a seal, works every time! As far as noise goes the Eclipse is WAY louder than my other full face masks. I put my machine on the floor under my bed and with the F20 it is absolutely silent, I mean you lay and concentrate on hearing air noise and you just can't, amazing. The engineers who designed that QuietAir swivel coupling are geniuses. The problem with the F20 is the damage it does to the bridge of my nose so I can't wear it too many days in a row, two at the most. The Evora full face is extremely quiet too but it blasts undispersed air out the front and if that air hits my pillow its loud and will wake me up. I was disappointed in how loud the Eclipse is but and I guess it's not too bad because after a couple days I got used to it and sleep just fine now, the advantages of the Eclipse way overshadows the noise. I use flesh tone 2" kinesiology tape that I cut to shape to tape my mouth, works great. I have to tape my whole mouth, I tried a 1" vertical strip of tape over the middle of my lips like some recommend on KZread and got a leak rate literally off the chart. My leak rate with the Eclipse and full mouth tape is zero every night. I put a power fail alarm on the outlet used by my CPAP machine and wear an O2 ring set to vibrate on the highest setting to wake me up if my blood O2 saturation goes below 89%, in case the power is good but the CPAP machine shuts off for some reason. That, along with the anti-asphixiation features on the masks and machine means I don't worry at all about suffocating.

My only problem has been having to take my nose piercing out every night because usually I never take it out because it tightens up and is hard to reinsert.

I bought it and have had a few nights on it... you will waste some bleeps getting them on right. The tag going up the side of the nose appears to be key... don't tape it downward, or to the side. Since we all have mouth tape (don't we?) use that to plug the side leaks... I'm still learning and experimenting. I'd like to make my own magnetic piece that does both nostrils at once and applies with cover stretch tape... that dollar a night thing's got to give.

I ended up giving up on bleep. Maybe I'm just not a pillows guy... the little metal washers are too restrictive for me... any restriction tends to induce panic. Also, my nostrils are angled, not flat... so it pinches when installed. Maybe sizing/etc could fix this... but I'm on a full-face now (Simplus) and it holds pressure like a champ. I don't have to tape my mouth... but sometimes I do anyway, helps prevent chin drop and drooling, which is a thing with FF masks.

My problem is the cost... 32 Halos (16 nights worth) is $18USD... so about $1.10 a night. I like CPAP because it's just water and electricity, pennies a night... not so into spending that much money especially when if you just want to take an afternoon nap it's another dollar ten. How about body mods? Magnetic nose gauge rings! Magnetic tracheotomy! No telling what the future holds.

I buy 4-5 boxes of ports at a time (VA won't provide them.... I write 'em off on my taxes.). I sit down with scissors and cut them all into pairs, chuck 'em in a box, and set the box on the bathroom counter... I learned from Jason's first review to cut the top part of the tape down to a size that fit me better. I keep a handful of those cut-off pieces in a small box next to the AIrRes -- because if the tape comes off a bit at night (sweating, runny nose, whatever), , creating a leak -- I can grab one in the dark and stick it on over where the leak is, and go right back to sleep! I use Stuart's witch hazel wipes but my skin is not oily, so it's enough. Let it dry while I put my pjs on. Now, rather than try to line the ports up 'by eye'; I use a metal drinking "straw" (that sits in the box with the ports) Just the right size to slide the port onto, sticky-side up. Stick a half inch into my nostril, apply the port tape, et voila! Always lined up, always straight. I DO something struggle with attached the ports to the connector fitting... it's easy -- and annoying -- to tell because of the air escaping. I was entirely unable to adjust to the three masks the VA let me try... I take the apnea seriously. I am SO GRATEFUL to Stuart for inventing these at JUST the right time!! I'm dubious of the magnetic ones. Having a pair of magnets to close to my brain is concerning. I may still try them. The idea is super... but I'm leery of magnets on my head!

Still waiting for my pre-ordered Bleep Eclipse w/ Halos for some reason. Halos seem like a nice improvement. My fix with the original Bleep is to run the tubing up through the bottom of my t-shirt and up through the neck before connecting to the ports. That way, if there's any tugging on the tubing, it doesn't tug on my nose. YMMV.

A tip: When I get in my "DreamPorts" -- I sit down and cut them all into pairs; never thought to cut them for USE, which cutting I do each night -- but hey! Great idea. I also keep ALL the cut-off pieces in a box; and a few in a box near the bed so on this extremely RARE (*like, once every couple months, if that?!) occasions when I get nighttime leak (at a guess? usually when the bedroom gets too hot and I'm sweating? Also usually between my nostril and my lip -- so below my nose...) I can grab a 'cut-off' tip, locate the leak with my finger and seal it. NO turning on lights or getting up! Second tip: After getting tired of fussing to get the Ports lined up... I thought: I NEED some kinda "guide-thing"! NOT a cotton swab_ envisioning but of cotton/poly fluff being driven INTO MY LUNGS by the pressure!! EEK!) Hmmm, WHAT did I have that was... about nostril-hole size (so it's centered) and NOT sharp! Maybe the handle of a spoon? Nope Too big to go in the prot. OH! I have these nice stainless steel drinking straws! Very smooth, rounded edges, long enough (and then some) for easy handling! So, I moved one into the bathroom... Cut the tape to size (MAY be doin' that ahead to the box-full; save that night-time step!) Insert the straw through the nozzle from the outside; insert the (inserted) straw about a half inch into my nostril, smooth the tape, et voila! Thanks Jason -- great vid -- I'm back reviewing vid cause a friend just got a CPAP so I'm helping him figure out what to do.

I use the Resmed AirSense 11, which I've had for 3 months now. Previously used the AirSense 10 for 6 years, but it was a CDMA device and stopped reporting to the myAir app when 3G shut down. I use the P10 pillow mask headgear but don't like it, because it shifts around on my head, and I don't like that the side straps are positioned too close to my eyes. I put my CPAP on a stool close to the bed, so that I have enough tubing length to turn over, and due to the tubing being level with the bed, the tubing doesn't snag with the covers. My apneas went from 80/hour to less than 1/hour within a couple of days using the CPAP. I notice on my daily sleep report, the leak rate is anywhere between 2 to 14. My sleep doctor isn't concerned about it. I would like to try the Eclipse to see the difference with the leak rate level.

Apologies if this shows up twice. For some reason my post from a couple of days ago didn't show up, maybe because I included a link. I ran into an issue with leaks around the metal rings of the Halos around where they are embedded in the bandaid-like material. It happens for me after 3-4 hours of use. It's always at the edge of the ring facing away from the septum, where there is extra tension when the magnetic ports are clicked into place (due to the forced alignment downward). It may be more problematic for people like me with narrow nostrils and/or a saggy columella since this causes the rings to point diagonally away from each other until the magnetic ports are clicked into place, creating the tension at either outside edge. It's hard to picture this when you look at the Halos on the flat sheet. However, once in place on the nares, the material makes a 90-degree turn where it adheres to the side of the nostril. Now you have an edge where it's easy for a leak to form between the ring and the material it's embedded in. When that starts to happen I can feel the air coming out at that point, leaking between the material and the ring (not the skin). It's not a big leak, just a noisy one. As it separates further, I can get my fingernail in there. It may be worse for side sleepers who roll around a lot, putting periodic tension on the rings. Bleep Support is sending me replacement Halos since mine were from an early run that may have had issues. Someone also started a thread about this in the Bleep forum. This is kind of similar to the vexing periodic leaks from the old Dream Ports that seemed to get worse as the connector kit got older. But those developed around the clip coupler mechanism. Once this problem is solved, Eclipse should essentially be leakless (when properly applied).

My first night with Bleep Eclipse: 1st hour woke up, felt like I had a leak starting on right side but redmed11 stated 0/L. Pressing leak stopped. Later in night :more leaking on right side. Had to add medical tape. Back to bed By 5.5 hours leak failure on right side. Tried more more medical tape to save it but it seems that once it started to leak it was imminent to fail. Resmed 11 stated 29 l leak -worse than other masks. I had even tried to rescue by carefully peeling where the leak was and trying to clean the skin, but that didn't seem to be the reason. I felt a coolness like moisture. I don't know if once they start to leak if the humidity from the machine settings will doom the adhesive. ? Overall, the halos were comfortable, but I did feel itchy in the corners of the nose under the lip and hoping that it's just something one has to get used to as didn't seem to be an allergic reaction but just not used to having some things sticking there. I used witch hazel after regular cleanser and the one side stuck fine. I'm hoping it's just a learning curve because it ruined the first night experience. While I did get to sleep on my side, I did have arousals feeling the right side leaking, a small stream that I would tap down and for a short period. It would stay. If the creator of this is reading this comment, your halos are too expensive to want to take the leaking one off and replace it. Also I should point out in that first hour. It said I had 30 events. With the avora I had been getting it down to under 5 -7.5 But this morning the average was 15.1 I did change the settings to nasal pillow. The company doesn't State what setting you should select on your machine and assume this is close to pillows, but I'm wondering If the bleep interface can confuse How the machine reads events because it's A unique product? I was surprised that within only an hour they're telling me I had 30 events when I think the first 30 minutes I wasn't even asleep yet. Anyway, it was a bit of a letdown to end up with such a bad leak by morning and hope I can figure it out on night two. I am curious if a better seal reveals either setting issues or physical issues that I wasn't seeing in the first 20 days of starting CPAP and trying a nasal cushion and full mask before bleep.

It depends on the individual. I love my nasal pillow mask and can't imagine using anything else. I have very little leakage, and only open my mouth if I'm congested and/or the humidity setting is too low. I just use my saline nasal rinse to reduce congestion, and I'm good. That said, this particular mask wouldn't work for me due to skin sensitivity with adhesives.

Yes, the Bleep is quite noticably louder than the Brevida in this video. To me, the biggest downside to the Bleep is the single-use and thus inherent adding-up high cost of the Halos. The price I could find was $18 for 16 nights (32 halos), which is $1.125 per night, adding up to ~$411 per year (if used every night for all 365 days). That's not nothing. (Also, I personally really dislike single-use items in general, because of the needless waste and environmental impact.) Still, it appears to be a really good product. I mean, who wouldn't desire a perfect seal with none of the mask-related drawbacks? 🙂👍

The only problem I have with Brevida (or most) headgear is it slipping during the night so I have to push the straps back into their correct position. I don’t think this is for me as I sleep with my mouth open and on top of that I move a lot and I do t think the magnets would hold tight😢

I am a VERY restless stomach/side sleeper and the magnets held very well (I was a beta tester). As far as mouth opening, I know some people use chin straps or tape, but I find it's not much of an issue for me.

It's covered for insurance as a nasal mask and nasal pillow. so if you get supplies through insurance it won't be any different. There are vendors who will selling Halos at price breaks the more you buy at one time.

The patches are more than a buck each, and are not reusable. Thats a factor, I might use it if that was covered by insurance maybe.

i have a feeling it may be possible but risk losing some grab. And the medical community would probably say there is a sanitary issue or risk of germs. If a personal decision is made, how well it would restick would be based on how much oil and or sweat you produce.

It's not that bad. Jason is being a bit of a klutz and fiddling more than needed, probably because the camera is running. I've been using the original Dreamports for a couple of years and they work better than any of the nasal pillow masks I've used. If it weren't for the Dreamports, I'd be using the P10. Before bed, when I go to the bathroom, I wipe down my face with witch hazel and allow it to air-dry while taking care of business. Takes 30 seconds to apply the adhesive ports. Jason just needs more practice :D

You have to trim down under the nose a 1/8" to present smooth skin for the adhesive to seal against.

Echo the same comments about nasal masks. As a mouth breather, all the nasal videos don't have much value. I wish that wasn't the case. Mouth tape is completely useless (my gf agrees with me too lol)
