That's interesting, Coop. My Hypnos is pretty consistent. I do have the occasional feeding issue, which is human error like you said, but it's far, far less prone to a jam or a bad feed than the Helios. Overall I'd be as comfortable running this in a war as an Alpha Trooper. You'll get the odd jam, but they generally work pretty great.

This is the first rival blaster that actually tempts me. Looks great, pump action mag fed is my jam, and comes in blue

@@Kano_Productions yeah me neither. and its had some serious home use during lockdown. then again,I've noticed that a lot of jams/errors that people notice on blasters over in america,never happen in EU blasters.(ie: never had an ultra dart break or decap in my 2,flywheels are not aligned wrong either!)weird thing to notice,but 🤷🏻‍♀

Does anybody else realize how fast Coop was speaking in this video?

This is by far my favorite clip fed, spring blaster to use. Perfect to hold like an actual rifle. The chambering has been tremendous and it's Soo easy to transition from clip to clip. Love it.

You will need to have really big thumbs to reach that

I got a Hypnos and I loved it, but sometimes if you prime it too slow, the rival round will not chamber correctly and it will lock up. This isn’t that big of a deal though because it is really easy to clear.

Damn I'm early! :D This Hypnos deserves and lives up to the hype it seems. Being superior in every way to the Atlas, it looks to me like the Alpha Trooper of Rival :)

Now, regarding the Atlas. Firstly, even though the Atlas boasts superior ranges to to most Elite blasters, it still pales a little by comparison to other Rival blasters like the Hypnos. Secondly, for a shotgun it appears pure massive for a hip-slung secondary (same footprint as a Mega Rotofury but far bulkier). Thirdly, firing 2 balls at a time all the time means only 6 shots from a 12 round mag. Whereas the Hypnos, being single fire, makes up for even a 7 round mag feeding it. Lastly, minor but no slam fire (like the Artemis) or shoulder stock (like the Hypnos). However in the end it is not like I am not blackballing the Atlas entirely, it is a pretty good blaster in terms of mod potential or close combat, this is just my opinion but if it were up to me I'd choose the Hypnos for most situations :)

@JAMES BRENEGAN Well James, at least single fire shots be controlled somewhat better in the Hypnos, even if the accuracy may be a little off (compared to the compulsory 2 ball shots of the Atlas) and on top of that; no clip feeding it lol :]

Always love your reviews Coop! I have also experienced some inconsistent shots, but mostly is just the shots are pretty inaccurate even in mid range 15’-25’. I was thinking maybe because the hopup unit is pretty deep down the barrel so maybe the balls just bounce around the barrel sometimes. That is just a thought, I am pretty new to the hobby so I am still a noob, maybe I am totally wrong lol.

I just got this as a Christmas gift and man do I like it. It’s my first Nerf Rival Blaster.

Recently found a free box of, like, nine nerf blasters. Two of which were the Hera and the Hypnos. All are in great condition (except for a Flipfury, which seems to have some mechanical issues with its secondary trigger). That being said, neither of my Rivals have mags, so I haven't been able to play with them yet. Soon, though...

Needs to be PC colours :-( So my Hypnos arrived today ( blue ofc ) My blaster doesn't seem to have that priming issue, mine catches at the very end of the prime. You may have gotten a lemon?

Brilliant reviews throughout your channel. Never had a nerf gun before but this looks like a lot of fun.

I pulled my Hypnos out of my car (new in box) in the winter, roughly -10c and it wouldn’t shoot until it warmed up to room temp. My stock from folded releases after every shot. But I still love the emotion I get when I hold it and shoot it.

Ooooohhh cool thanks Man U always make the best, detailed, and you actually make sense and tell us EVERYTHING about a gun in a video.

I'd like to see a vs. video between this and the Artemis/Hades. I guess it would come down to weather you prefer swapping mags or having internal ammo storage that can be topped off on the fly

Great review. Good visual, good commentary, and all. That being said, with the Nemesis and Promethiums all other blasters are inferior. Except the Jolt. Nothing beats the Jolt.

I would say if they’re all using accumegas the Magnus wins by not being an uncomfortable small attempt at a rifle or having a pointless break action. To clarify I think the bulldog is super cool looking but I find it kind of uncomfortable and just awkward to use. The Magnus is unabashedly a massive pistol and it’s very low profile for a mega blaster . Also it’s amazing for masterkeying. I’m currently attempting to masterkey a Magnus onto my infinus but I’m a little apprehensive about cutting the latter blaster because they cost 100 bucks here in Canada and honestly I just like angled foregrips

I know I'm late but I would say that the Mega Magnus wins, why, because its more practical than the other two and it can fit into a holster, but I think that blaster is discontinued so why not buy a Cycloneshock, it defeats all of them

Thank you so much for the review. Glad you are having the same issues I am. Several shots would not load or had a weak fire. Overall love the gun. The issues aren’t that bad and can be controlled.

Further testing with different brands of darts is disappointing. I’m returning the gun today. I’ll pick up the Hades for the same price.

If they release a redesign like there did for Apollo to Helio, they need to take what they learned from the Hades and incorporate the mag into the stock so that the mag is linear with the chambering mechanism. The folding stock is cool, but I'd rather have a fixed stock where the mag is either inserted through the back of the stock or is top loaded like it is now but lays flush inside the blaster and stock. Either way, it can use a spring-loaded mag release for easy mag removal.

I wanna see someone up grade the spring that pushes the mag out so when you hit the mag release it just flys out and you could just throw another in. It’s probably not practical but would be cool.

Ashton Lovell I meant rival. The Khaos is the only one with a bottom rail so far, and it’s really wobbly with the flashlight grip attachment.

This is my favorite Nerf blaster. Especially from a meaningless aesthetic standpoint. I LOVE they way this looks!
