Hello, I did this and it worked for a few hours and then the tablet says the hijacker has been blocked and it went back to Amazon standard. How would I fix this?

I was worried about replacing my high-end older oasis with this one kzread.infoUgkxCgPI5O2AtmcHq9SJhgsCGbpAzJAJfrJp but it is surprisingly light and the screen resolution is just as good. I never had the warm light on my old kindle, but i do not use it on the ipad so I will probably not need it. I think the only thing I'll miss is the self-adjusting light, but this is so worth it!

*I upgraded from the 8 inch to the **Newest.Technology** 10 inch. I really didn't expect it to make that much difference but it has. It is also much faster and responsive. Great Purchase.*

Super nice, it worked for me. I appreciate not having to root the device. Only trouble I had was when going to the APK website i tried the newest versions, couldn't get them to download. But your links worked!

the newest version can sometimes be for tablets with newer OS. I would always recommend my links cause the Fire tab is so out of date with its android os.

@ribbon ! ୨୧ it does do that, but only for a few seconds before reverting back to the Nova Launcher. That happens a couple of times in the video. I haven't figure out how to get rid of that but I'm pretty sure that's because of the lag in between the Nova Launcher and the fire OS home

Hi. I did what you are doing here about a year ago. today I added some credit to my skype app and the kindle tried to reset back to kindle. For some reason, the Nova app got switched off. Any ideas?

on the last step at 13:31, where you turn the detect button on... that option is not on underneath where you turn nova launcher on. did I do something wrong?

if you had enabled the location tracking on the tablet it would be easy to find. you may be able to go onto your amazon account and mark the lost device as lost on there, however i am unsure, i will do a bit of research if you'd want me to.

What size of SD card do I need? I’m not familiar with anything of this. Also can I call someone and get rid of my ads?

Trued this on a factory reset 7th gen amazon fire 7 and play store wont open. Turning tablet on and off before but no luck. Any ideas? Thanks

worked thank you did have problem seeing link, was not on top, did find it though after some detective work with what i could see on the screen and barely read and then i could see it on the list i had. Oh well, did work though!

I did reset mine to factory and didn't update it. I think that helped.

Hi friend, the new launcher on fire7 mustang is working incorrectly repeatedly pressing the home button throws it again on the fire launcher. Tell me how to fix it .

i keep getting download pending.. how to bypass this or get it to start downloading from the fire instead of having to resort to using a webrowser? also its trying to install the apps to the integrated storage and not the SD card

I am not sure why but, the Home Button Detect is not showing up under services. Nova is. Also, when i install the Hijack, it says "launcherhijack has been blocked. launcherhijack is not compatible with this device." It indeed does show up in ES File Explorer, but i am not sure if that has anything to do with my issue stated above.

Hi! I just recently did this on our fire7 and I'm having some issues with it staying in android mode. When i hit the home key it switches back to Kindle layout but once I press the launcer hijack app it switches back to Android layout. Can you help me with this so it just stays in android mode?

everything worked but the detect button option wasn't there and I can't set Nova as a default laucher

Note, I also found that ES File manager would block everything unless I accepted their "Free 7-dayTrial", for which I had to give them my credit card. Forget that! Consequently, I found another file manager, "X-plore", which worked just fine.

i don't have the detect button under the nova launcher in accessibility in settings

I mainly use this for reading Books/Manga don't really like Multimedia Usage on it considering it has terrible speakers even for the price range.

Two questions once i install android how do I install apps to memory card by default is it possible? 2. How do I replace home button so when I press it goes to Nova launcher? Thanks

At around 12min in the video it explains how to use launcher hijack to replace the home button. You must make sure you change the accessibility setting for everything to work correctly. As for your second question, I dont believe you can move apps to the sd card.

Amazon disabled the launcher hijack app but a work around is to download app cloner and use it to rename launcher hijack to a different name and then it will work

I am having trouble with my new Fire 7. Could it be that it is new December 2019 ? The play store just keeps asking me for email and password over and over. I can't get highjack to install.

So to be clear the original FireOS is still on the device? I have the 8gb model and want to get rid of that and have it just be an android. It seems that this will load both filling the device even more, I've done everything I can to get and keep files off of it but it is to the point where it is not longer use able.

Im thumbs downing this because of the misleading title. This is simply changing your home screen, IT IS NOT making the device run an android OS aside from the factory fireos

Hi guys, I did the job, and installed Nova Launcher using modified Launcher. Hijack file (b.43.Clone.apk), but I can't set Nova Launcher as default. 'Clear defaults' option is greyed out. I ended up with Launcher not working fluently. When I press the home button I am coming back to Amazon OS look. Please help!

I have followed this to a T and the app store just keeps showing a white screen then back to the home screen. For you IT guys out there yes I have turned it off then back on again. Any suggestions?

I figured out my own problem, I wasnt connected to the internet when I ran the original 4 programs. Connected and re-ran all 4 and it works. Now I can use this as a screen for my raspberry pi over SSH.

Can also just direct load the apk to the tablet
