One thing I do like is that GM keeps using the column shifter instead of a knob like dodge. The knob shifter is just stupid imo.

I like trucks but hate it when you try to park and only compact spaces available

Like the technology it adds to the usability of the truck, front end styling looks better with the chrome grill but no styling awards are forthcoming. Great review as always Matt.

I can’t believe I’m saying this but the design is growing on me But I still think the off-road version looks ugly as fuck This one though It looks quite handsome actually I want one lol

I really like the styling actually very mature, and I don’t even like trucks, great review as always my guy!

I love the looks of the new Silverados, but I saw a special edition called the “Black Widow Edition: Armed Forces” and wow that truck is sexy in the Tan exterior and blacked out accessories. So badass. Every time I see the truck at the store where I live I just stare at it and wish it was mine. Either way it would be a toss up of that truck or a Raptor for me.

these arent even trucks anymore, they are luxury suvs with a bed lol.

@@x1181andc1079 you should drive one of those. It will change your mind. I just got mine. I had a 14 before that. They are very similar but they are really practical. People are confused in buying a truck vs buying a Sony ps3 console. You need to drive a reliable and practical truck, instead of an 12" monitor game console. Believe me, it's really difficult to concentrate properly when you are driving and trying to operate the AC through a tablet vs simple nubs!

It's good to see that the Silverado has finally caught up to the 2013 Ford F-150.

Have you ever had the a moment where the vehicle doesn’t start? I think it’s kinda hilarious in each of your reviews when you start the vehicle, seems like there’s a hint that one time a car didn’t. Great videos!

I loved my Silverado. I prefer it over the competitors. The f150 I thought was great but the turning radius was terrible, also my Silverado didn’t have the engine cutoff so I found that annoying having to turn it off every time I started the truck. The ram I really love updates. But I just have a hard time trusting mopar products and especially fiat/Alfa. None of them are known for reliability or electrical engineering.

Great review! I've always liked the Silverado! You hit it on the head, interior is familiar just like a lot of the Chevy products. Silverado is a Great Value especially at the end of the year when you can totally get these 15% to 20% off!

Just a word of caution - the new 2019 Silverado-Sierra twins can’t be ordered or does Not come with the power brake and foot pedal adjuster. This is normally a pretty standard option for most trucks (GM, Ram, Ford)...I own a 2017 Silverado, but some “bean counter” within GM axed this very useful feature.....

Car and driver got one to 60 in 5.4 seconds and 13.9 at 100mph in the quarter mile not bad at all. The gmc denali gets the adjustable dampers which the high country can't get.

Is that $2.14 a gallon??!? God, California sucks!

Looks are a matter of personal taste. It may not be for everyone, but it works for me. The Ford, which in the right configuration is a decent truck, is due for a makeover, and having owned Dodge/Ram pick ups in the past I can't bring myself to purchase another one, even though they may have the best in class interior I can't get past their reliability and resale issues. (Chrome doesn't get you home) For my money at this time, it's Chevy. I' ve owned 12 trucks over the past 30 years and GM has proven to be the most reliable with higher resale values, all be it at times on the boring side when it comes to styling. Just sayin... Great review Matt, thanks!

I love the way the exterior looks but the front face not so much. I think is better looking than the 2019 ram 1500. The interior of the 2019 ram 1500 is awesome. Better than Ford f150

The high country with the body-colored bumper looks better than the other ones with chrome bumpers, but still not great looking.

Great direction for trucks. Too bad they aren't great in accidents.

1500s started becoming more like a 2500 size. They are getting too big. I test drove the 2019 Sierra and tbh it drove sooo big and I kinda didn’t like it. Ford and rams are ain’t bad when it comes to size and width

Believe it or not, the Ram 1500 is basically the exact same size as the new Silverado. They were made bigger with the 2019 model year too. They just feel smaller; I know what you mean there.

OSTKCabal maybe the Sierra and Silverado sit higher? Cuz the ram was easier to drive to be honest. The Sierra felt too trucky. Ram was so comfortable like beyond comfortable. Ram was scary around corners cuz of course it’s more comfortable. But the Sierra was solid around corners. I herd that the Ford is the easiest to drive. I personally never ever drove an f150 but it doesn’t look smaller than the competitions

Steal can get use to the mirrors on the side of door instead of it being flush against the corner widow

That interior is so far behind Ram and f150 it makes me laugh. Looks 10 years old.

@@amprg Why would anyone doing tons of work get a top-end truck? Get in the interior of the 2019 Ram 1500 Limited and try to tell me the Silverado High Country is worth the same (and often more) money. Just try, without laughing. I'm also pretty positive that the new Dynamic Fuel Management and vastly increased electronics in the 2019 Silverado will hurt it in reliability. They added more moving parts inside the engine, more computer, more cameras, more electronics everywhere.

Seriously man? My channel is having the same problem SaabKyle's has. Back when I was subaruwrxfan, car reviews on KZread were new and exciting. Now doing car reviews isn't exciting enough for people. They want daily vlogs, project cars and other stuff I don't want to do. Not to mention there's 10 new people trying to do car reviews each week so the competition for views is way higher than it used to be. I just want to review cars and unfortunately that's not good enough for a lot of my subscribers anymore. It sucks but I'm trying to work through it and hopefully get new subs that value what I do.

That's pretty common with a lot of the car channels. People will subscribe to the channel but are only going to watch the videos of vehicles they care about. There are only so many people that will watch every review. I don't give a crap about this (or any other truck) but I like to keep up with what's going on in the automotive world. I don't think too many car enthusiasts are watching truck reviews just as this truck's target audience isn't watching reviews of the Hyundai Veloster. IMO Matt's channel is the best overall coverage of the entire industry. I like Doug Demuro and Straight Pipes, but those are more for entertainment value focused mostly on cars none of us can afford.

My goal for my reviews is to give consumer advice about cars that people can actually buy an afford. I’m always honest in my reviews and list the pros and cons for each segment. The negatives are clearly listed there. I will be reviewing as many privately owned cars as I have time for this year, but it seems people don’t really watch those reviews on my channel either so I can’t win no matter what I film.

And enthusiast know if this car is good or not on design reliability and stuff like that therefor most the people who watch KZread want to see cars that yeah maybe they can’t afford or they can but they’re just a bit on the higher end and if you want to know about cars you got guys like engineering explained Chris fix or Scotty Kilmer all of which have the subs and the views and honestly Doug has it right when it comes to car reviews he’s his own boss and not afraid to tell it how it is because he’s not reviewing press cars he’s forced to say good things about I think Matt does a very great job but the route he’s going isn’t the best and like he even mentioned vlogs builds and project cars is what people want to watch because people who are watching are not the every day people they’re enthusiast like me I’ll still support but I just want to see something new that’s all

We taxpayers are paying and sacrificing our young kids to shovel democracy to some idiots' asses that are killing each other for their religious. At least GM created jobs, and paid back the money. Their unions raised the wages to more than 40/hr for a labor without any skill. You should search for video clips in this matter. All of these car makers are making their cars in different countries. Do you think that Ford is making everything here in the US and export them to other countries, with such a ridiculous high wages and nonsense labor compliance lawsuits? Chrysler even merged with Fiat which is one of the worst car manufacturers in the world.
