The interior on the new generation Sierras and Silverados does not look as nice. The grille doesn't either. I don't mind that they raised it a couple of inches, but thats it.

The Silverado is luxurious, tough, beautiful, practical, comfortable and a big machine. I wont be surprised to see the Silverado overtaking F150 as the best seller in the long run. Great review as always, keep it up Prime Autotainment ;)

Thanks Hikmatullah! Yes it is, I enjoyed my time with it and I’m excited to see how the 2019 compares. That would be quite the feat but it could happen! I wonder how much closer it would be if GMC wasn’t an option..or if they just combined sales. Appreciate the support!

I love this color i wish mine was a High Country the slight mix of Chrome with the grille, headlights, mirrors and door handles looks soooo good.

Yea I was going for a 19 but honestly I really liked the 18 better so I went with it.

I have a 2017 High Country with the 5.3. Going to pick up a 2018 today in blue, just like this one with the 6.2 and the 22s. I hate to say it but they missed the mark with the new 2019s. Can't stand them.

I got the 2018 LTZ centennial edition and absolutely love the look.

That interior is better than the new one (2019), better looking and hell of a lot more practical, between the doors, the center console and the 2nd golvebox they reduce likey in half the space and places to put stuff

I just got mine this week..I love it..

It stacks up well to the 2019 because basically it's the same interior layout and the interior is the most important.

Yeah the interior really does look very similar

Went to look at the 19s today and didn't like the look or the seats. Wound up with a 18 6.2 like yours. It was quieter then the 19 Ram limited I drove and lots of power. The RAM 10 speed was a little smoother, but not enough to make me take a chance.

Ram has a 8 speed not 10 surprisingly nobody picked up on that. Have a 18 High Country 6.2L love it no dam way in hell I'll get the next generation lordy GM missed the mark

Love the truck! The one thing I don't like is the sprayed in coating in the box. I much prefer Rhino lining. The factory coating is too slippery.

It’s a sweet ride!

Where I live all you see of Chevrolet is the 2019 so I bought a 18 Ltz z71 in blue

There are two vents under the driver and passenger front seats that blows cold air in the rear cabin. They are small but it does provide some circulation. You have to put the ac for the head and feet to get the air flowing though.

My dad is going this weekend to look at this truck in the same color. He wanted black but I recently traded in my 2015 5.0 for a black 2014 GMC Sierra slt and doesn’t want black anymore lol

Lol nice. I liked this color for the most part and some other people did too. Black is nice too but of course the dirt and hot weather can kinda stink

Always felt like this truck was the replacement to the Escalade EXT

I like that Silverado

It's a shame we don't have these in the UK, they would sell very well. I'll have to trade my Cadillac in and import one myself.

I have a 2017 4x4 with the 6.2l. 200 mile trip today i averaged 23.8 mpg with premium gasoline. My wife has a 2012 gmc acadia awd that wont touch that

Out of the gm 6.2 and the Ford 3.5 and 5.0 which engine do you personally prefer?

Even though it’s not the most powerful, I like the 5.0. I like all three, but I prefer naturally aspirated and port/direct injection compared to just direct injection with GM. GMs new “dynamic fuel management” where it can run on just one cylinder occasionally worries me too in the long run. I’ve heard of issues with the newest version of the 5.0 too though. It’s a toss up lol

Prime Autotainment Yea I hate to say it but based on looking at the forums for all of the different brands it seems they are all having significant issues. I really wanted a ram but I’m seeing a ton of info on their forums about the trucks going dead while driving and then having to pull off and restart.

Dang that’s terrible. I really like the Ram too, but have also heard more bad things. It’s a shame. You get have a troublesome time with any of them but get lucky too. Hard to say. What do you think you’d go with?

The flickering lights is only because if the camera. It’s not intentional or anything you can do or see in person

Nice truck.. just not a difference on the inside of quality from an LT..like mine.. yes more goodies.. but the dash and doors are all the same minus that cheap plastic wood insert.. shame on GM. there should have been more REAL leather.

great review, as always. unfortunately, this generation of gm's full-size truck lineup suffer from an overabundance of cheap materials used in every trim level, and nearly cartoonish exterior styling. that being said...lots of folks buy them; bless their hearts. haah!
