Reverse Seared Tri Tip on the Big Green Egg

This video shows you how to prep, cook, slice and serve a tri tip from start to finish. This happens to be a Snake River Farms tri tip but this method will work with any tri tip you can get your hands on. I am using a Big Green Egg XL with the EGGspander to create a 2-zone grilling environment. Start the roast on the indirect side and move it to the direct side to sear it off. Enjoy!

Doing one of these for the family for Christmas this year. The last one I did was direct on my Green Egg and turned out great, going to try the reverse sear method this time. Great video. Thank you.

Reverse sear is the best way to go!

I do not. You can tent it with foil.
