Revell Foose Ford FD-100 build / Sick Slammed Truck / Bagged Patina
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Build the Revell Foose FD-100 truck with cool "How To" weathering techniques and more! During the month of December, Paul from International Scale Modeler hosted the Foose FD-100 Group Build. Build the kit anyway you want in December. I went with a Sick Slammed Truck look to finish up mine. Love the Bagged Patina!!

Nice build. I'm not up on all the new terms. Why is it called a restomod?
@THROTTLEPOWER
2 жыл бұрын
Good question Bob.... It's a term used when an older car is fixed up with all new running gear. Engine, tranny, rear end, suspension, tires, wheels and sometimes frame with air bags. But the body is pretty much keep how they found it with all the natural patina. Sometimes they look like a rust bucket going down the road but everything you can't see has been replaced. Hope you have a good New Year!!! 🎉🍾🎉
@Bob0sModelFabWorx
2 жыл бұрын
@@THROTTLEPOWER. Thanks. When I looked up restomods, I got pictures of cars that have new paint jobs. Not a single one had the unpainted version you mentioned. That's why I asked. Could it be the patina is just one aspect? That seems to be used on all kinds of builds; rat rods, drag cars,even show cars.
@THROTTLEPOWER
2 жыл бұрын
@@Bob0sModelFabWorx Yea, probably so Bob. Seems like anything goes now a days.
Are the wood planks in the bed just painted to look weathered or did you actually do something to stress them to get the weathered look?
@THROTTLEPOWER
2 жыл бұрын
Little of both, I distressed and painted them.
Can you share how you manage to get this truck so low and what is the red primer you use on your builds? Thanks
@THROTTLEPOWER
2 жыл бұрын
Sure... I messed and messed with it for about a week trying to get it lower and lower. You can see the different heights in the vid. Couldn't get it to where I wanted it so I made the decision to build it for competition and enter it in the "Curb Side" class at the model contests I'll be going to this year. With that decision I yanked out the suspension and stuffed the Tires up into the wheel wells!
@THROTTLEPOWER
2 жыл бұрын
Oh, the primer was Krylon Satin Brick..... If you want to know anything else about the build, feel free to ask. Are you building this kit?
