    One of your best Tom! Seriously... TOP NOTCH! Couple of favors if you could... 1. Tell us EXACTLY how you put decals on with such ease! Man, it’s like it’s NOTHING to you. They never seem to curl up or roll over on themselves. How do you do this sorcery? 2. I’m gonna be building a Superbird in the next few months and want to do a “vinyl” top. Can you maybe do another muscle car with how YOU would do a vinyl top? I’ve learned so much from watching your videos and to be honest, your videos got me back into the hobby after MANY years. Thank you for showing us your skills and attention to detail Tom!

    Revell really knocked it outta the park with this edition. I have the 71 model kit and it looks like a toy compared to this. Dodge really had some of the wickedest styles back in the day. The Cuda is my #1dream car with the runner up being the 67 Shelby GT 500. Great work on this!

    I absolutely love your builds, and your skills are top notch. I'd have liked to see a few details that I feel were missed, although admittedly are very nit-picky in nature. The rallye wheels are not supposed to be chrome. They were painted silver, and had a chrome ring that snapped on to finish them off. The all chrome look is not correct and is noticable on your build. The other less obvious, and probably not worth the trouble is the bumble bee stripe on the sides of the car. Originals were applied over the paint and like the hood and spoiler were matte black. I get the need to cover them with clear as the decals still wouldn't give the matte look of the originals, but potential masking and spraying the matte clear might have helped here. Again, minor issues, but overall another spectacular model!

    How do you mask off the interior to paint it? Seems like if you just place tape on the outside, you'll still have some of the body color showing up (that would be painted over).

  • @chrishalcomb440hemi6

    Valve covers should be engine color and exhaust is incorrect. Aar cudas had special mufflers that exited in front of the rear tires,not ran out through the rear valance panel.

    Like always, i greatly appreciate the superior quality of your builds. You're an excellent modeler and an exemple in the trade. However, givin the hawsomness of this build, it was heart wreching to see some modifications...Since you did a stock version and not a restmod with this one, certain aspects should not have been tempered with like the side exhausts. Not with AAR cudas (or T/A Challengers). I know you said you prefer rear exhausts and that you do what you want with your model etc... But when building stock versions, especially for iconic versions as this one, i think history correctness should prevail. Also, interior door panels were the same color as the seats, and the undercarriage was factory primer color with body color overspray on the sides. I feel like an asshole telling you this, but i'm a damn purist... LOL

  • @TheScalemodelingChannel

    @TheScalemodelingChannel

    I agree to disagree. As i decides to change the rear for the exhaust, i could also alter the door panels and chassis to my preffered look. If i indeed where to build it factory spec. Those would have been done factory spec.

    i prefer a factory look too but when building a scale model i prefer clean sharp look for example aircraft modelers do weathering and stuff on their models but i keep them clean.

    Why can’t modern cars be designed to be beautiful like back in the 60’s and 70’s? Everything today is ugly by comparison.

  • @benoitlangevin7522

    @benoitlangevin7522

    4 жыл бұрын

    Today's safety and fuel economy regulations greately limits design freedom. You can still have that kind of design in certain modern cars like the Challenger or the Camaro, but it comes at a price.
