I'd 💘 to see you build more classic 60s,70s and 80s muscle car builds like this one in the future.. That is my favorite era!!

I love the full color manual. Even if they want to be cheap and only use black and white manuals in the kits, they should at least put a full color PDF on their website for people download and print themselves.

Like the 350H Shelby you did a nice set of instructions with this kit...

I built US Revell 1970 Mustang Boss 429 and I have 69 Boss 302 in my stash (strangely, the first one is 1/24, while the second one is 1/25, despite few parts being identical between these kits, just adjusted in scale, one would think it would make more sense for them to do both in one scale and reuse the main body, chassis, clear part and wheels at least). The Cuda looks like a step ahead compared to my Mustangs - with brake details and those metal wheel pins. It is also nice to see they included tyre decals this time, for my Boss 429 I had to order aftermarket ones (Fireball Modelworks has a nice selection of tyre decals for muscle cars). I paid much attention to make my Boss 429 as stock as possible and there were some errors in the instruction - like installing the rear spoiler and window louvers which it shouldn't have and painting some parts in body color when they should be flat black. That variant of the Mustang is my farourite car and it is so rare and valuable, it just wouldn't work for me to have it modified.

Revell is a very great brand! It’d be awesome they could have you do a complete 1960-70’s muscle car kit. Mustang, corvette, charger/challenger, etc.

I often find myself disappointed with Revell kits. This mould could be a lot sharper with more defined detail. Hard to explain what I mean. Ok try this, it's like looking at a picture very very slightly out of focus. The detail is there but not as sharp as it could be. Whereas a Tamiya or Fujimi is super sharp in focus.

I have seen that kit around, but i haven't purchased it as of yet. Might do that later this month. The engine bay should be painted body color. Plus one side (engine side) of the core support. On the other side of the core support (behind the grill) it's paint flat black. I should know, i have pulled enough of those apart in the past... LoL But i am looking forward to how you build it.

It looks like they rejiggered the roof which is good. The original version was a make minimal changes from the Challenger T/A molds so the body had...problems. Like buy a '71 kit and start sectioning problems.

Built one of these a while back and you'll definitely want to scribe in the doors and pretty much everywhere else both inside and out...looks like they also changed the hood...not sure if I like that version...worst part of the new version of that kit is those god awful tires,.. 1 being all the same size, wrong, that's a big miss right there. engine looks about the same though the alternator mold doesn't seem as crisp as it used to be...anyway should be an interesting build to watch

Revell sure has a lot of gall to call this a Level 4 kit. The Level 2 kits I built in the mid-'90s were better quality and had much crisper details.

Ooof buddy, harsh, but kinda... fair? I thought the "levels" refer to how hard it'd be for a Millenial to build it. I does look a little MPC-ish, although the fan is the same as the one in the 70 Charger (love that fan, lol)... mebbee the mold's pulled off the Hemi mold and suffers from sucked-sweety syndrome.

I am pretty sure the level ratings are directly proportional to the number of parts. BTW: this kit is based on a 2013 release.

@@stevewatts3502 Tis not harsh at all. It's the truth. Revell has gone down-hill in a big way. When I was a kid, all of my kits were Revell kits, and I loved every single one of them, but these days, I can't stand Revell. I'm a Tamiya/Italeri kind of guy these days.

  • @MFKR696

@C D Same here. I'd love to see that. A '68 GTO Judge or a '67 Mustang would be perfect, considering what a company like Tamiya can bring to the table. What would be even better would be if said kits came with upgrade parts, like hood-scoops, super-chargers (blowers) different wheels, different trim/aero, etc. . That would be fucking awesome. If you ask me, that needs to become a thing with kit manufacturers. I would enjoy building kits a hell of alot more if I could personalize it without having to buy after-market detail sets.

H3R3T1C what me and you know as 1-3 skill level is different now now level 3 is the first level to require glue and 1 and 2 is basically snap together kits with different stickers difficulty’s it’s really stupid now
