Was originally thinking Transition Spur till I got to demo this... It is a blast on the Downhill. It climbs soooo much better than any trail or Enduro bike, but it's just as fun on the way down. Now the waiting game until mine shows up in November 🤞🤞

About 5 pounds heavier than the Spur though, I think. Is that a non-issue for you?

@@yinyangthang I think it depends on the spec, but it's maybe 2lbs heavier. I got it early (in september), and it's been awesome. I got the XT build, and absolutely love riding it... It's an amazing bike that wants to be ridden hard up and down.

Good bikes I just wish they could get rid of the double bearing situation each side. I mean 18 bearings for a full bearing replacemen?! that is a bit much imo. Also the last one I saw in the workshop had the bearings pushed straight in the frame , no alloy insert , justs straight in the carbon. after the bearings were gone and the cusomter did not notice, the bearings just started rotating in the frame and slowly ate away the carbon. i could take the bearing out of the frame with my finger. Ouch! I hope that is something they are working on.

I am kinda glad I went with the new Trek Top Fuel now. I thought the Revel would be a bit better at climbing. This has eliminated the bit of buyers regret when I saw Revel released this bike soon after my purchase. My Trek is a perfect balance of climbing and descending.

@@craigm7240 not sure. They have a four-month back order que. Of course, we ain't talking about a big company. Also, their price points are actually more reasonable, considering component packages, than Yeti or Pivot, as two examples. This is not to say all these bike are not spendy!

Hello! I have a Hightower and a Chameleon C today. I would also like to get a bike that is good and fast on trails and that could wotk nice on the BC Bike Race. Do you have an advice for what bike I should get? Bikes that I have on my shortlist is the Ibis Ripley, Revel Ranger, Santa Cruz Blur (maybe a new Blur comes very soon?) and Rocky Mountain Element (sees a bit outdated).

Gorgeous bike. Elegant engineering. I’m a trail/enduro guy - 160-180 mm single crown fork and and matching shock. I generally dominate my compatriots on the downhill but they catch me on XC stuff. This is the only bike in the XC/trail segment to capture my imagination. I would love one. Kudos to the engineers and creative talent at Revel.

Been looking forward to this series. While fun as always after Mike's response to Sarah on "so who is this bike for?" I have to say I'm confused. If these bikes don't climb all that well and are made for people who like to decend I have to ask why not just ride your modern 130-150 trail bike? Sounds like you don't give up anything on the climbs and the suspension is so good, why not enjoy the extra travel???...
