Of All The Bikes, This Revel Ranger Sleeps In My Bed...

Спорт

Over the years, Jeff has become known for his insane custom mountain bike builds and this Revel Ranger is truly a thing of beauty. The attention to detail, color matching, and parts on this bike are sure to gain some attention. His new Revel Ranger features some highly unique and controversial modifications, most notably, the gold SRAM XX1 Eagle 10-52T cassette where he had Liam cut off the 52T cog to save weight! Yes, you read that right...If that wasn't crazy enough, he added gold and green Industry Nine 270 wheels, an A35 stem, and custom gold water bottle bolts to match the green and gold theme. Even the RockShox SID and SIDLuxe got the custom blackout treatment. Other notable components include the OneUp Carbon handlebars, KS LEV Carbon dropper post, Crank Brothers Mallet E clipless pedals, and a set of mystery grip to be revealed later :) Watch the video and see just how crazy this bike really is!

    Awesome build! Looking to also get a Ranger and your height is similar to mine, 5'8", curious what you think the ideal reach is? The Revel size guide puts me at a medium, but I'm wondering if I should consider a large after watching your video? Thanks for any input!

    A pretty crazy decision about the cassette. Shimano has 46 tooth 12-speed cassette, but it is not gold. I agree about the ugly yellow Maxxis logo. Stock tires on my bike have the yellow one, unfortunately. So I had to use a black marker to paint over the yellow logo🙂Cheers and Happy New Year! ✌

    I bought a couple maxxis rekon 2.8's at my LBS a while back, both came retail with the little backpack thing and the big orange piece of cardboard. One has the normal yellow logo and one has it the white, I was wondering why the difference and this video just deepened the mystery

    Awesome bike, great stuff! I'm not sure why anyone would give you crap about cutting off the 52 tooth, I say, piss off to them. I run the 1x12 XT on my V2 Ripmo, and I NEVER need the big gear, even out here in the PNW., granted I ride almost daily and I understand my fitness level is quite high, but to bash someone for how they want to built their own bike....pssssh. Still waiting to see if you guys do a waxed chain video. Thanks! Cheers!

    Does something like a wolftooth dropper lever improve the dropper performance over the lever that comes standard on a bike? Very broad question I know

  • @WorldwideCyclery

    @WorldwideCyclery

    It doesn't necessarily improve or change the performance of The Dropper. However the ergonomics of how your thumb presses the lever and the feeling from the lever is very much improved.
