The Army does not raise the flag while sounding "To The Colors" They raise it while sounding reveillle. The Army only uses "To The Colors" during retreat.

I'm pretty sure that your hand is supposed to be cupped when at attention or saluting.

I'm guessing that the people who gave this a 'thumbs down ' don't like getting out of bed in the morning. Interesting video. Best Wishes England. 👍🏻

No. The Army does not raise the flag during the "To the Colors" it is for the retreat of the colors. Army SFCgirl is wrong but not because of your service specific statement. She is using Army regs which are apparently different than the AF.

This video isn't outdated. It's current for the Air Force and is based on the Air Force Professional Development Guide 8.10.2. You can find it online at the AF's own site. Each branch of service does things just a little differently.

The flag isn't suppose to be unfolded before it's raised. It's to be unfurled as it goes up.

This is outdated and the regs have changed. See TC 3-21.5 appendix K (Jan 2012) for proper commands.
