What I thought. You obviously have to draw the line somewhere between profit and beating it to death for minimal return, but it never seems to end. I wouldn't let a rug in my garage that I worked on get that nasty. Did they keep it in a goat pin or what.

He said it was antique and handmade. It seems highly likely that any further cleaning may have damaged it. 😔

My grandma smoked in her house. I had to help clean it out when we sold it. Her crt computer monitor alone had a straight up cm of tar on it. Like you could take a razor blade and scrape it off. Made the screen look yellow. The walls were beyond repair. Just painted over that lol. Everything thrown away basically except for antique furniture. I can’t even imagine what it would’ve been like cleaning the carpets rather than replacing. I moved into my apartment maybe 5 years ago. I smoked for the first year and eventually when it was cold just started smoking inside. Then I remembered cleaning that house. I quit smoking.

I'm a Sailor in the US Navy. I have also used floor buffers like these many times in my eight years of service. I tried super gluing googly eyes on the floor buffer at my current command, but unfortunately someone higher ranking really didn't like that. So I put googly eyes on all the brooms and dustpans, too.

For some reason my cat LOVES this video. He's sitting in front of the TV and stares at the screen with great interest. I just had to go to my computer and write this comment. He usually doesn't care to do this. In fact only time I've seen him looking at any screen like this was when I showed him videos of birds and squirrels.

There’s such a huge difference between the space you have now and the tools you’re able to use and the space you had in this video. None of the rugs you’ve cleaned in the last 6 months or so have ever come out this dirty in the end. I think so much of that has to do with the newer space, the techniques you’ve perfected, and your determination to make improvements and really get every last bit of soil out of these rugs. Kudos to you for all the progress you’ve made and the success you’ve worked so hard for!

Funny thing…. I do car detailing as a side job for friends and family and I got a dodge caravan for a carpet extraction and I just had no words because it was so horrible. I definitely can’t go to the extent of what this guys doing but it’s very rewarding when you’re done.

I'm glad that after he rolled it out at the start, he adjusted it by half an inch. A sign of a true professional.

I worked for a chemical company that had an offshoot just dedicated to cleaning floors and rugs. I was actually flown across the country to see stuff like this in person. They had a group of carpet cleaning chemicals so powerful, you could stain a white carpet with black coffee and blue pen ink, and in a minute you'd never know they had been there.

I especially enjoy videos by this channel because of the explanation boxes. It's great to know what you're doing, and why.

The smell of tobacco (practically is dry oily nicotine) is something … can’t be described in words … :((((((((((((((((((( because even washed that carpet still smell a nicotine … You have to ask double for the service when a customer came with something like that…

No way yj as t was tobacco smell or damage. Especially after being thrown outside in mud (garden) . The smell comes from bacteria in wet dirt, not tobacco.

Yeah, I honestly don't think they could've gotten that carpet much dirtier if they had actually TRIED. This guy is practically a miracle worker for being able to restore such a beautiful carpet from the frankly disgusting state it was in.

I can't tell you how shocked I was to see such a beautiful red and gold rug appear from under all that filth. Amazing.

This man doesn't just clean rugs he helps the environment too. These rugs could have ended up in landfills. Bravo Sir. 😊👍

@@sbybby it would take even more water to make this rug again from scratch. Just think of the grains grown to feed the sheep that make the wool, not to mention the water used to water the sheep, wash the wool and dye it. Also, saving the rug from taking up space in a landfill!

I can't get over the difference - it looks fantastic! When you first showed the rug, all dirty, I instantly thought "oh wow, that poor rug". I'm glad you were able to restore it to it's original beauty.

Such a shame to leave a beautiful rug like that to be neglected. But as always you gave it the kiss of life and brought it back to its original glory! Great video as always 😃

I can smell my childhood home in this. You gave that rug life again.

This video actually really reminds me of my great nana. Smoked like a chimney from the age of 17 until she died at 93. Ended up becoming a smoker myself because I always found the smell of cigarettes comforting. I still really enjoy the smell (when it's not overwhelming) but I haven't touched a cigarette in years now, I still miss it sometimes but I don't yearn for them any more.

Whoever had the brilliant idea to put giant googly eyes on the powerbrush, I applaud you. It makes me giggle and I really needed that today. Thank you.

I just watched another channel claiming an ASMR carpet cleaning video. I was shocked at the cleaning and the lack of care in dealing with the underside of the rug. Your video has calmed me down again. Proper job! Keep up the good work!

Oh my gosh, the dirt never ends! You have to have a lot of patience. At the end on the final rinse all I could think was "How the hell is there that much dirt after all that cleaning!" Amazing job saving this rug!

That rug looks oddly familiar.. I had one in an old house, I just know it. So cool to see a version of it get cleaned.

You, good sir, are an artist! You have restored a beautiful work of art. Plus you saved unnecessary landfill waste. Well done, you magic carpet fairy!

Ive been watching your videos for some while now and I can just imagine how proud you must feel after cleaning these. Whenever I clean my floor (I have a dog and live in the uk so you can imagine the amount of mud he tracks in) I feel so much pride and joy watching it go from black from the dirt to clean. It does seem like a big waste of water unless it is a valuable rug. Very satisfying to watch,but I can’t help but think why bother?

Incredible that after three treatments and even more rinse cycles that the water in the extractor was still coming out so brown. I bet you could have washed it a couple more times and still not have gotten it totally clean. Doesn't even seem possible something could be that dirty.

That rug was a very depth plush one which could really hold a lot more dirt than a normal handmade rug...it was a very deep plush on it and kinda shameful it was allowed to get so filthy.

Whenever I watch these videos I'm so annoyed by the fact that the water still comes out brown. I know clean enough is clean enough, and doing more is wasteful of the water, but man I would keep going til that shit runs clear

@@batfurs3001 at some point the damage to the fibre and color/dye integrity via the cleaning process is going to be worse for the rug than any benefit of of cleaning further. Not to mention damaging profits/time. At the end of the day, if these aren't going on a wall they are going to be stepped on again. And, hopefully (for the business) another rug is waiting its turn. No need to keep it waiting.

From a guy who loves cleaning stuff around the house this was very enjoyable

I absolutely love your work and the extent you go to, to get the rugs cleaned. I've watched several different rug cleaning videos and you sir by far is the best. You're actually the only one that uses the extractor to remove the excess water out of the rugs.

Watching these videos on SILENT while working from home = bliss

Hard to believe there was a beautiful carpet under all of that dirt. I really enjoyed the addition of the explanations as to what you were doing and why. Once again, great job!

Randomly, suddenly, my youtube feed is filled with different channels cleaning rugs. Yours is the first I poked at that really took the time to dry and vaccum and brush and actually lift the last of the dirt off. It makes like a *huge* difference in the end result! I'm shocked this isn't more commonplace apparently!

Often they are just loaded into a centrifuge to get out excess water, but feel this doesnt get rid of any dirt left in, as well as a vacuum does.

There is something very calming and cathartic about watching someone love a beautiful carpet like this into new life, as many have mentioned "I never thought I'd enjoy carpet cleaning videos!" , so satisfying! Great work and thanks for showing the steps needed so well, subbed!

I had this exact rug growing up and so seeing this threw me back bc I totally forgot about it. Core memories unlocked

The sound of that manual brushing near the end in slow-mo took me right back to my quickscoping days on mw2

This is similar to watching pressure washing on tile or cement. The before and after is such an amazing difference. I love the Googley Eyes on the scrubber. That's awesome!

Me three, I'm autistic and am finding these videos so calming when I'm stressed, should be funded by NHS!!

It's a veritable crime to see that gorgeous hand-made carpet treated the way it was. So glad you could bring it back to its former glory. Love the giant googly eyes you put on your big cleaner. Gives it a lovely personality. 😀 The informational inserts were cool, too.

Seriously, your videos are my favorite. I enjoy carpet cleaning videos anyway, but yours are the best. There are so many click bait videos out there that promise dramatic changes, but yours are the real deal. I have never seen rugs so dirty and you transform them. Absolutely amazing as always!

I really like your explanations with each step. I've watched a lot of these videos and never realized there was something different going on at each stage. I always just thought you were washing and rinsing the same every time till the water was coming off clean. I liked finding out not just what you are doing, but also the reasoning behind it.

Thank you. I work as part of the cleaning crew in a big Hospital in Germany and i know how satisfying it can be to clean something realy dirty. But i never expected that it could be so relaxing and satisfying to watch someone doing what is part of my Job. And i realy love to see that you are proud of what you do for a living. I was wondering, how long does it actually take you to clean a rug like this? And what happens to them after they are cleaned? Do they go back to the owners or do you sell them?

I was feeling bad after having a really bad weekend, and I didn't want to sleep because I was stressed Now I feel wayyyy better!

Extremely satisfying to watch the grime go bye bye. 👍 And to see beautiful rugs restored and not discarded.

What I love more than anything is when you scrub carpets by hand.... the machines are awesome, but using the scrub brush (like a deck brush) is so soothing!! I love the sound it makes and the bubble action is the best. I wanna go scrub rugs, don't even need the money.... I'd do it for free cuz it's such a ....idk... a turn on!! Crazy I know, don't judge me ya'll !!!! Lol🤣😅🤣
