Trouble is the EV platform is VW and despite the stated charging speed figures, it doesn’t deliver those! When you complain they say it’s only a range (albeit it never gets in to the range!). My experience was DC charging 20-80% is more like 50-55 minutes not 35. AC charging about 80% of the time was only half charging due to some battery safe mode that apparently randomly cuts the charge so on a cheap overnight 6hr charge I was getting 20kw not 40! Big difference. I had mine for 4 months, it then spent 6 weeks in garage and I got a BM i4 instead which is brilliant and does exactly what it says

Ordered a V2 last Aug and still hadn’t taken delivery by June 23. Cancelled it and ordered a BMW i4.

Its good to see Extreme e mentioned on the channel! I'm not in a hurry to buy EV's but I do love the racing. As team owners, its Lewis Hamilton Vs Rosburg Vs Jenson Button all over again!👍🏽

I am sure you would have appreciated Paul’s thoughts more than my own but I recently received my 310 VZ2 which replaced my Mk7 Golf R. I’m enjoying it and very pleased with it so far…asides from some electronic gremlins which, unfortunately, is an issue for many Formentor owners. That asides though, a very pleasant ownership experience to date.

@@mr1zzle Congratulations on your VZ! Yeah, I saw some videos people complaining about those electrical issues. That’s very unfortunate. What does Cupra say about it if you have already reported it? Also, if you have a OBD2 scanner, does anything show up?

@@VaneNaumovski Thank you. Cupra have recently released (another) software update and, reportedly, this has resolved a few issues. It’s a little frustrating but hasn’t tarnished my ownership experience to date. If your infotainment system crashes (which then has the knock on effect of disabling many of the driver aids, parking camera but, most annoyingly also your ability to alter the air temps etc) then hold down the power butting on the infotainment system for 15 secs and it’ll reboot. Shouldn’t really have to do it but it’s the best quick fix if you encounter similar issues to many of us. I have an OBD reader but it doesn’t really pull up anything helpful in terms of error codes. Out of interest, which engine and trim did you order?

@@mr1zzle Alright, I see. Well, hopefully by the time mine arrives, there will be an update that would most definitely fix all of those issues but thanks for the tip! I went for the same as yours, VZ :) didn’t spec up apple car play, I will enable it via OBD2. At least that’s my plan haha

Supercars of London Great Video review I think it's awesome that Cupra gave a Born E boost Long Term Test Car and I think it's an awesome addition to the channel

Oh dear. Just don't. A very misguided solution to environmental issues. End to end much worse than ICE vehicles. And 6 cylinders of petrol sounds waaayyy better :)

But you dont have to worry about headgasket, turbo, piston crack, coil packs, DSG failures, timing chain issues, worn valve seals, oil consumption issues like you get on a regular ICE VAG group cars.

@@PsychedMedia In reality your battery doesn't last more than 6 years and costs more to produce than the engine in your average family car. Lithium is also hard to recycle! So hard in fact the government pays scrap yards to dispose of it properly. Lets not even talk about the strip mining of lithium and child labour involved! Or the fact that C02 is essential to all life on the planet. Yes if you didn't guess! I do not believe the it's science.

@@PsychedMedia But you have to change the batteries which would mean you'd need to buy a new car, because the batteries cost almost the price of the car. It's like changing your smartphone because the battery dies.
