Thank you for your videos. I was the Company Public Relations Manager in the 1970s and I still write articles about the marque. I have to say your attention to detail and obvious love of the cars does you a lot of credit. Please keep making the videos. I have a 1989 Spirit. I wish you lived close to me as I need a mechanic. The trouble is I live in Normandy. Warm regards Evan Morgans

What an exquisite work of art Gary. Such a pleasure to watch your work and explanations, plus the interviews you do with the craftsmen in the field. I must confess, with just a few years until my retirement, I have indulged and bought my first Rolls Royce - a gorgeous 1976 Shadow. Your improvements to your Corniche have inspired and educated me, though I could not tackle anywhere near what you do. At least I understand and appreciate a little more about the marque. Thank you!

The passion you have for your Corniche is so wonderful to experience. You do everything with such grace and elegance, respecting her more than anyone I have seen. Love your videos, and I must say, you have singlehandedly restored my faith in "re-connolising" leather - I have always been deathly afraid if it, and even had my Spirit re-upholstered entirely... Wish you had been around back then lol. Thank you!

All of those old and retired Craftsmen who had a hand in the building of your Corniche, would be extremely proud of you, for the preservation of the cars' outstanding beauty!! I have always loved the shape and good looks of both the Shadow and Corniche. One of the best vids ever, was Harry's Garage, and his 4000 quid Shadow, that he took to the Arctic Circle. I could almost picture your black Corniche against the pure white Arctic Weather!! Gary, you are very thorough and fussy about how you plan before doing the complex work, and (I believe) that the RR Brake Circuits and valves can be misunderstood with ease! Please may I also make some constructive comments. I absolutely loved the woodwork following the refurb work. But this now highlighted the area around the Key Ignition, where it is scratched from swinging keys. I wondered if it were possible to source black (non-scratch) self adhesive pvc, and re - cover the surface. And for the nuts and bolts which are removed / refitted underneath your car, there is a substance (made by ROCOL) and called "copper anti -sieze". A little coating over the threaded portion of your shaft / bolt does stop any road salt / moisture from penetrating the nut/bolt. They will undo 25 years from now. I've watched all of your vids, including the work restoring that rust-bucket Merc! Greetings from Australia.

FYI Gary, the final drive crossmember is spot welded sheet metal with a urethane foam injected in between the cavity. The workshop manual states the trolley jack and a pad should be placed under the case. It is extremely robust. Eventually the cross-member gets distorted and cracks.

For me it was new to see how cracked leather can be repaired. Impressed me. In a short sequence I saw that he is using a 16mm spanner. When did RR change to the Metric system? Does anyone know? I think Jaguar did it in the late 80s.

Fascinating stuff, but just a tip... Your body mic is only producing signal on the right channel and it is rather annoying and distracting from your great content.

Thanks tony. They’re new so had a few teething problems but hopefully all sorted now. I had no idea until I listened through phones and realised it was on separate Chanel’s. It’s only KZread!! Regards.

Agreed , Avon Turbospeed whitewalls are the best and recommended tyre for the Corniche and Shadows. I wouldn't fit anything else and they look so good.

Hi, although I’ve fitted Avon turbo steels all round, I think black on black is better and more classy. it’s just personal preference I suppose. Regards.

I love your videos but this one has caused me nightmares!!! Watching you wield a wholly inappropriate long shaft screwdriver to put screws in that beautiful woodwork caused Richter size shudders amongst those who have learned by error to use a proper screwdriver . And what’s more. Use two hands, one at the screw end, one at the handle end. You were lucky this time but change your ways. Please.

And no disasters with the other arm holding the phone filming it at the same time! …I’m afraid I don’t have a camera or sound Crewe!! Regards.
