Will this Rolls-Royce start after 14 years?! | Classic Obsession | Episode 52

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Gary is itching to see if his new Rolls-Royce will start after sitting in a barn for 14 years! But first he needs to finish the job he started rebuilding the hubs on the black Corniche. Then he can paint its rear wing, fit the newly repaired bumper and get the car back on the road. Thanks to ‪@MirkaUK‬

14 years or 16years off the road - not used at all, yet fired up as soon as fuel was delivered, no nasty mechanical noises or issues to be alarmed about , you’ve got to give theses cars credit , Rolls Royce knew what they were doing . Now just gently on their way.

It wouldn't happen with some of the fuel around now = it turns to jelly and gums up the fuel pump.

Hello, Back in 1971, when I was 12, my uncle bought a new 71 Silver Shadow, black sides, and a beige top, black vynil top. I think he said the paint was called Sand over sable. I remember riding with him and his family from Palm Springs to LA, to buy it. It was an absolutely gorgeous car. And the leather interior was beautiful and smelled so nice. When I was 15 he taught me to drive with it, and at 16 I took my driving test at the DMV with it. I would help him hand wax it about every 3 months. He sold the car in 1978 , and I believe it had about 50.000 miles on it. He sure loved that car, it still looked brand new in and out. He had misgivings about letting it go, but had his eye on a new Porsche. And so he did trade it in. I sure do hope its still around and owned by someone who loves it. If its still here in Southern California, theres a good chance it is. Great guy my uncle, and great memories of his beautiful ROLLS.
