What an INTERESTING COMPARISON!! Literally had to go grab mine to compare, I have a made in USA. I would totally keep the made in France one as well. But I agree the USA one is definitely more structured. Very interested in seeing how yours wears. I have to be honest I barely use mine out of fear of cracking 🙈. Congrats 🎉 👏🏼 on these two beauties! I have to say, if I was the one picking one out of these two.. I will pick the MIU. Now, let me tell you about mine. Mine is MIF but it is not as squishy as the one you have MIF, it doesn’t sag at the bottom, it’s more structure but with a softer canvas like, so I would say it’s the best of both worlds. My flap arch, it’s even more squarish than your MIU. My strap it’s like the MIU, thicker but bendable, still not as thinner or flimsy as the MIF you showed. My piping is as the MIU not as thinner as the one you have. I say, the canvas are like leathers, they are not all the same, batches are different and the craftsmanship might be different, depending of who made the bag. I went back and forth so much as to which one to keep but I felt the MIU was so stiff it felt like it was putting the flap under more stress when opening and closing. Whereas the MIF was smoother if that makes any sense. I do wish it was a bit more stiff like yours but I guess we can’t all be that lucky! The MIF looks much better with things inside so between the really stiff and the really soft I chose softer. Thanks so much! It helps to hear others experiences! ❤️❤️❤️

My previous PM was made in USA but when they repaired they attached a made in France top to my made in USA bottom which looked so bad! Canvas was different, top was new, bottom was old....just awful. That’s why they gave me a new one. So happy ending! Thanks for watching!

KK LVoes CC oh yea I remember watching your video. And that’s really awful. I noticed mine in reverse mono (which was also MIU) is stiff too. I noticed my horizontal balignolles tote bag, it was also stiff which was also MIU. But the canvas of my Graceful is soft though (MIU too)... probably depends on the batch... Glad you got the MIF one... congrats again... happy for you.😊

Yes i agree it’s probably the batch but I kind of wondered if they are trying to use softer canvas for the PM to try to prevent glazing issues. Just a thought! 🤷‍♀️

Actually I read that around the middle of 2019 they made a Pochette Metis Version 2, it's softer canvas and fixed the cracking around the flap and glazing issue. It helps to have a softer canvas. Also the strap on the newer version is not as stiff. So keep the Made in France one. My guess is, you got your bags during the transition from PM version 1 to PM version 2.

The PM MIF was stiffer 1 and 2 years ago. I think it's softer now because of the glazing issues.

My original Pochette Métis was made in France and the reverse monogram one I just got seems to be made in USA cause it’s a lot stiffer I do think the glazing will eventually crack because it’s stiffer

Thanks for sharing! Did you notice wrinkling on the handles on either of your bags? I just purchased mine, it’s MIU, and noticed that there’s quite a bit of wrinkling on the handle and was wondering if that’s normal. You’d think someone had been using it, but the date stamp shows it was produced in Jan of this year and still had all the plastic in tact! I’m torn on whether I should return it because it’s so hard to find!

I have not noticed any wrinkling even after using it all this time. It’s pretty smooth with just some patina now. If it’s noticeable to you I feel you will always notice it and might want to return. I know it’s so hard to get it but inventory has been much better since stores are closed. Try stalking the website. I’ve seen many many people get it by doing this. Hope this helps and good luck!

Yea I notice thst to and I return it today and got another one at a store and did a curb pick up but , it has a little scratch on the side where you put the straps . It’s not noticeable but I see it 🙄idk what to do

The made in USA ones say only Louis Vuitton on the leather tab inside but they have an additional fabric label at the side that says made in USA of imported goods. Made in France would say a “Louis Vuitton Made in France “. Hope this helps! ❤️❤️❤️

Hi! I just bought an LV Onthego similar to the Pochette Metis, it's so hard to find everywhere. I also had the same question why the inner stamp doesn't have the "Made in France". Now, thanks to this comment, I just noticed the additional fabric on the side that says "Made in USA of imported goods". Guess this is authentic right? Ordered mine over the LV Client Services. Bag came from LV store in Neiman Marcus Northpark Mall in Dallas, Texas. :)

Oh wow...I just ordered two LV bags during Mother's day. Hooray mine wasn't made in USA. How do I detect whether it's made in USA or Italy/France? I didn't even bother to look at the inside tag.

If it’s made in USA the leather tab inside will only say “Louis Vuitton Paris” and have a cloth label inside. All other countries it will say “Louis Vuitton Paris made in xxx”. Hope this helps! ❤️❤️❤️

@@vena936 If the workmanship looks good, the quality itself is probably the same whether it's MIU or MIF. I have found that sometimes MIU workmanship can be sloppy. If you inspect it and it looks good I think it will be ok to keep. In the video, the MIU is actually better workmanship. I just preferred the softer canvas of the MIF especially for this style as it has had glazing issues. Good luck in your decision!

It's just that this will be my very 1st LV therefore I wouldn't have a way of comparison as I don't own any other LV to do a comparison of it's workmanship and it's fabric thickness, better inner lining etc. But as far as inspecting this Neonoe, everything seem to look okay. So maybe, I might just keep this one because I don't want to go through the hassle of returning and ordering again and not knowing whether I'll receive another MIU instead of MIF.

I just received my PM, MIF and has mostly the same features. I did notice when trying to stand her up she leans forward. I notice that in your video it does the same, has that been an issue for you??

I never even noticed it. When I put items in I guess it stabilizes it as I have never had it tip over on me. Hope this helps! ❤️❤️❤️

I just got mine yesterday and I noticed that my MIF PM leans forward as well! I don’t know if I should be worried about it...

I don't know specifically. However, from my personal experience made in France, Spain, and Italy have all had softer canvas and better overall workmanship. Made in USA had stiffer canvas and workmanship can vary more substantially than the made in Europe counterparts. This is of course my own personal opinion and others may have differing views. LV is now getting rid of date codes and made in stamps. Going forward they will only have microchips that can be scanned with that info. So we will not know where the product has been made unless we scan it at an LV store. Hope this helps!

I regret keeping my bag that was made in USA because the quality is stiffer compared to made in France which is softer. At that time when I bought it was high demand, so I kept it. If your a collector better to keep the original that say’s made in France.

They are even. It moves around slightly so can go to one side making it look uneven. Hope this helps! 🥰

Thanks for the information.. o just purchased mine few days ago and I found out that made in USA it doesn’t say Made in USA under the Louis Vuitton Paris, but instead its separated tag on the side of the bag.
