Return Of The Titan

Спорт

Transparent Labs Presents: Return of the Titan | After a devastating pec muscle tear while chasing a powerlifting world record, Hafthor Bjornsson faced one of his most challenging hurdles. Yet despite this setback, his passion for strongman has returned. He is determined to re-enter the strongman arena smarter and stronger, and yearns to recapture the feeling of being the strongest man in the world . As he gears up for a comeback in 2024, Hafthor sheds light on his aspirations: to challenge his limits, relish the essence of competition, and leave a legacy.

Its not all genetics. All these guys at the top level use p.e.ds. No I am not saying anyone could take gear and do what he does, he is a rare breed. So, its the combination of the right physical attributes, the right supplements, chemicals, diet and good old fashioned hard work.

@@pawz007Yeah, so much so that Thor says it implicitly near the end when he talks about his pec tear: “I was too aggressive, my tendons weren’t strong enough”. Which is a typical source of injury for competitive PED users because PEDs only accelerate muscle growth, they don’t help strengthening tendons. But people still prefer to believe that only genetics play a role.

@@Alexander-np4ky that is true. It seems like they all would talk about it if they could but they personally and the sport in general would be looked down on if it all got blown out of proportion. His recovery workout changes makes me think of something Devon Larratt talking about, how his whole routine is perpetual rehab. Like as if he's recovering from some injury to reach an old normal, only it's like the "normal" he's always shooting for is actually a little stronger than he was before. That struck me as so clever and safe and practical sounding. Hope he recovers fully and has a good time.

In my opinion, nobody to date has impressed me more than Big Z - but this man comes in close second. He has even proved himself stronger than Big Z in some events. But there is something more than strength about this man. He is the mountain in more ways than one and has re-lit the fire underneath the strongman brazier. He is a fantastic ambassador for the sport and an incredible example of the raw power a human male can achieve. An inspiration to millions no doubt, bit men and women. In terms of physical prowess and might, I would say there is nobody in existence to have ever matched him. I know about Marius, Shaw, Hall and even the strongman OG's but none of them are equal to Thor in terms of overall might. His sheer size is ridiculous. His genetics and attitude are built for this sport. Long live the King.
