Haha! I’m one of the Security Managers at Moody Center. Glad I could provide a laugh. I actually thought about stringing y’all along a bit longer but that would’ve been cruel. Great talking to ya as well. I could talk all night about music I love and Champ hates! Keep it Heavy! Steve

Great PT stories man. I saw Riley outside a Slayer show in Dallas, but I was too nervous to say anything lol. Manifest Decimation has a permanent spot in my 6-disc changer.

"Your opinion doesn't matter" - so so true, so many more people need to understand this! Also, opinions are not facts! Not that hard to grasp. Anyway, again I enjoyed hearing your opinions on music and in particular about bands that I may have missed out on. Can't say I ever heard of Deaf Dealer before but going to check them out now. 👍

Black Breath is crazy underrated. I relate to your comments about saturated year-end lists and a lack of music with real staying power and substance, and I still spin Heavy Breathing and Sentenced to Life on a regular basis 🤘

In regards to Power Trip, you're right it's totally a touchy subject. Riley was that dude. He had a presence and command about him. He's a huge part of what endeared them to the metal community. However, there's four other equally contributing members that worked their ass off to get where they were who had it all vanish through no fault of their own. For all we know this is going to be the Brian Johnson picking up Bon Scott's fallen torch keeping the fire lit. Bon is still mentioned as part of the AC/DC collective as much as Brian, maybe more so honestly. His legacy is as strong today as it ever was. I don't see why that can't be the case with Riley and whoever they decide the permanent guy may be in PT. If I'm being honest I'm certainly more comfortable with that situation than I am with the other band from Dallas "honoring" their fallen band mates lol. Not super enthused about that situation but I certainly support the two remaining members to carry on as they see fit.

Talking about the death metal revival you have to mention Dead Congregation. Graves of the Archangels (2008) was way ahead of the curve! I mean if you like Cruciamentum I can't image you would not like Dead Congregation. Both of their albums are 10's!

Ninth Circle is fucking awesome. Check out Peace Decay, same guitar players and all the other dudes shred just as hard.
