Many of you may know this already, but "skelton" (スケルトン) from English "skeleton" was a fad in Japan in the 1990s for the plastic cases of electronic devices to be made of transparent plastic.

Ah, technology of the late 90s and early 2000s. When all you needed to make something look high-tech was to let people see the PCB, and your lack luster wiring job.

I love that style honestly. I'd throw a lot of money at something that's completely translucent with decent sound quality, maybe even have the PCB be semi-translucent. Then throw LEDS at it.

TOP DEFINITION ASMR An acronym for “Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response.” The sole purpose of ASMR is to relax people. The ASMR community is constantly growing on KZread. Ideally, ASMR videos are meant to give the viewer a relaxing tingle at the back of their head and/or spine. ASMR videos usually involve one or more of the following things: • Gentle whispering • Relaxing hand movements • Smacking of the lips • Nail tapping/scratching on hard surfaces such as tables • Brushing sounds • Etc. --------------------------- Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. A feeling that is produced when listening to certain sounds and/or looking at certain visuals. The majority of people who experience ASMR don't mention it to their peers. I can almost guarantee that, you, reading this paragraph, has not mentioned ASMR to anyone you know. Most likely because you think they will think you're weird. We all feel the same way! * The above is from the Urban Dictionary*

@ganymedeIV4 I very much get a strong relaxing effect from specific ASMR videos that usually need to be unintentional. I, Like many others watched unboxing videos before ASMR videos starting popping up some +5 years ago to relax. Though, like with everything in the internet where there is money to be made there has risen these ASMR videos that don't seem to have anything to do with relaxing. Tibetan signing bowls or whale sounds do absolutely nothing to me.

Since the tonearm has a spring loaded mechanism instead of a counterweight, the measured tracking force will be higher if you put the scale on top of the record. The scale has to be exactly as high as a record would be to give precise results with these tonearms.

It's a shame Sony or AudioTechnica haven't done reissues of the Flamingo or Sound Burger. With the only alternative being that god-awful Crosley Revolution, and used machines even in broken condition going for crazy amounts you'd think it'd be worth it for even a limited run. I'd love a Flamingo but I'm not paying thousands of dollars for one.

Nukleon Absolutely they probably still have the tooling and manufacturing equipment to make this too. Usually companies keep unusual things like this! I think it would sell VERY well.

I love the box it came in :D. Also, I love how the speed measuring app shows how hard 30FPS fails xD, it was just blurryness galore. You should try 60FPS when you have to film relatively fast moving objects.

two points @Techmoan the color disc is probably 33 1/3 rpm, and try taping your scale to the turn table and hang it all on a wall to measure the tracking force while mounted on a wall

Good-Lord! A Fischer-Price phonograph would look high-end compared to that pile of rubbish. And a 8g tone-arm tracking weight? The tone-arm of Panasonic SGJ-500 from the "Triple Take" series has only 5.9g! Speaking of which, perhaps one of those is what you should review next... or one of the JVC equivalents.
