For me anyone who un-glues their ass from the couch, goes to the gym, trains for 90 minutes a day, does sparring every second day and then fights in regional or national trials - is already a hero, who can look in the mirror with respect towards themselves. As long as you are not just an "armchair fighter" - you deserve respect. Whoever has the balls to face the pain and fatigue is a Man in my book. And loss can teach you more than a win. That i can testify.

On the fighter and the kid a while ago he talked about some guy he lived with getting fed up with him eating his food so the guy started labelling everything with his name. Schaub admitted he purposefully ignored the labels and ate it all anyway to piss him off and when the guy got annoyed he started a fight with him to try and get him to move out and in so threw him through a window. The when all the fans wrote in and said it sounds like you were bullying that dude, Schaub got all defensive and said he was getting bullied. It was something along those lines, apologies if i got some bits wrong.

Yes Schaub made 12,000 for showing up, 12,000 for the win, an additional 50k for finishing his opponent ( Extra Incentive they added so fighters would go for the risk more often, thus making it more "Entertaining" ) and another 50,000 to him/mirko for fight of the night. + Sponsors at that point in time would put him in the 124k + anywhere from 30-70k in sponsors, so we're up to 154-194,000 for Schaub - Taxes. He probably cleared around 100 Grand in total after you factor in camp prices/food/rent.

It doesn't matter if Joe swings that way or not. That would be his decision. But he has a wife and kids and has always been into chicks as far as I can see. Maybe he's bi? Who knows? Who cares? He lives his life. You live yours. But I do know from watching parts of his podcast and listening to him that he LOVES his friends and family. That might be the part that a lot of you people miss...maybe you don't have the ability to LOVE someone other than yourself. He worries about his friends to the point that it makes him sick. He even gave Brendan a hella-ish brow beating about his fighting ability and fighting level and straight up told him 'I don't believe you are a top level fighter. You can't keep getting knocked out. And you should think about retiring.' To the point that it made Brendan cry. He said this to him on-air for everyone to hear, because he loves Brendan.

I can't remember specific episodes, but I was listening to half a dozen a day back then -- I do remember Joe being mad patient with him, asking why he was getting worked up and Brendan seeing wisdom through talking his shit out. +Mu I think he knows that he's just being dishonest. Shaub is really dumb and he probably thinks that disingenuousness is humbleness. If Shaub really believed he didn't deserve to be in the ring with him, then he wouldn't have, and not only that, but he said at the start that he thought he'd win it easily. Shaub is dumb as all hell.

+neko even if that were the case (and it isn't necessarily the case 'cos one should be relaxed and cool headed and being "hyped up" might lose that), but even if that were the case, he beat him so I really don't think that he believes he doesn't deserve to be in the ring with him. You have to be incredibly thick to beat somebody and afterwards believe you didn't deserve to be in the ring with them.

How is anything on this video different than what the title describes? The hateful comments have to be coming from people who just simply like hating. Otherwise, they would not have even clicked on the video. They are haters, pure and simple. I am neither a fan nor a critic, but at this point, I am pretty sure they could have interviewed a rock or something and there would still be thousands of hateful comments toward said rock. Lighten up people. Life is much too short to waste it on hate.

Brendan Schaub played in the NFL, almost won the Ultimate fighter, left MMA with a record of 10 wins 5 losses. He is a regular on one of the most popular podcasts in the world and has a successful one of his own. He is also doing Stand-up too. Ohhh and he is 35 years old. hmmm I guess these are the reasons why people hate on him so much. It sucks seeing someone be so much more happy and successful than yourself. I am a fan and wished he did end up fighting at least once more. Always enjoy seeing him on JRE. Losers gonna hate!

If they win then great, accept it as a win but don't toot their horn about beating a past his prime fighter who they actually struggled to beat.
