I just had a 1980s flash back with this mix.

Anyone know where I can go to learn how to make this type of music? I’ve messed with various sound and music programs but I’ve struggled to get that right kind of cyberpunk-y sound out. I guess I don’t have the technique down.

Sim Gretina thanks for the help man. Any tips on how I should mix my instruments? As a drummer, I have the tendency to put more work into the drum patterns, which then makes me want to make them stick out. I know that’s a bad habit since it can pull attention and power from the melody.
