As a side note the new mastery uses the animation and sound of exorcism. It feels so good blasting mobs with exorcism after you judge or hammer of wrath I seriously love the direction they are taking ret and both trees look to be fun, different from eachother, and flavorful

also great overlook on the talent and overall changes on the paladin

how can people like the fact that wings are on a 2minute cooldown again? how can people like to be a 20second specc where we put out massive damage for a short amount of time and be under tank damage the rest of the time?? i hate that! it just doesnt feel good to be useless when wings are on cd. this is bad news and no matter what kind of changes are coming, i can‘t enjoy them as long as wings are on 2 min cd

Wings aren't on a 2 min CD unless you take crusade, and if you're under tank damage outside of your CDs that's a skill issue

I hope that they don't exclude fun from balancing changes. Effectivity means nothing if it's not fun to play. If they make ret boring, then there are plenty of other specs. At least, there's DK or warrior.

Im quite happy they finally implimented a DoT build that they seemed to tease during the rework but just didnt have the time to finish. Its probably a lot healthier and fun that there are now multiple playstyles in the tree now so hoping it pans out well.

Is it only baseline mastery or overall +50% conversion into dmg%?

only a 50% baseline but mastery got a second damage proc effect now and we can improve it with other talents for judgement and hammer of wrath

pls dont force me into templar strikes it never felt good to press and never will.

doesnt matter to much on attacks but it doesn on the kick, i would like blizz to make melee kicks 10 range default like dks

also looks like one minute wings is gone and back to 2 minutes which im happy for because atleast we will get that 20% crit and no nerfs to it hopefully in pvp tho one minute wings was the best thing ever

was looking at max strem he tested ret and the 1 min wings are still there tooltip is just bugged

@LightbladeGaming I see one more bug with sanctified plates can you check it seems only the Holy paladin portion changes on second point not prot and ret is that bugged too

Templar Strikes definitely needs to scale better with secondary stats - it doesn't make sense a passive talent would beat out an active one. What the hells the point of it then - doing more work and getting less performance is stupid and silly design imo.

yeah with the change they made i think it can be on the same level because the dot it leaves scales with everything on top of getting that extra 30% damage from the new burn to ash talent

to be honest i like the versatility of 1 min wings but if we got back to 2 min wings managing the proper timer on when to pop them gives us back some complexity in ret, while its fun to just press stuff on cd we need a bit more depth, in an ideal world both builds would be even or very close allowing us to actually choose

@@Simonenepoteandre divine hammers is now a 2min cooldown that heavily benefits from haste making it ideal to stack with crusade the 2 min version of wings

@@LightbladeGaming I disagree, just makes it feel bad as a whole, wings aren’t strong enough as a cooldown to go to two minutes, it would need buffed significantly I think crusade needs a little buff tbh as well to make it worth the two min cd mark, however it does look like we are getting lights decree back AND the dev update didn’t say anything bout wings going to 2 minutes so might just be a bug

Hi, how is ret's boss damage in potential m+ build? Will the hero talent be the deciding factor? Its intiriguing after checking out your hero talent overview. I hope templar build gives us the boss damage + funnel profile.

so far it looks like we do more damage but lose verse since our mastery is just better now, id say were going to be really strong

Also: who asked for all the changes? I’ve never been happier with ret. Finally a desired class for raid and m+. Finally pumps. Finally good. And now we’re gonna go through a massive overhaul again ?
