wow looks like a game for children

The last time level 80 was max level there were a lot of spider dudes running around. Feels fitting.

Indeed, all those things honestly is what WoW has been lacking for even longer than the Story and other aspects of the game. They really made a jump in Cata/MoP to add small QoL stuff, but slowly after shifted to trying to introduce these "New" "Ground Breaking" Xpac features instead of all the small things that have been kinda outdated for what feels like years. (Character Screens, by now should be able to choose backgrounds, every character being able to collect mogs of all kinds, the pet stables being overhauled cause they were pretty damn bare bones tbh, and more.) But glad to see they are moving in a good direction and giving attention to the details this time around.

Even if the content of TWW is mid it'll probably be one of my favorite expansions purely because of the game-wide QoL changes.

12:50 Magni's quest is called "Oh, THAT sword." I love that the Dev team is embracing this meme now. Being able to poke fun at themselves is such a far cry from the "You'll play the game the way WE want you to while ignoring all feedback" vibe they were giving off in BfA/Shadowlands.

Sure they embraced the meme, but they didn't have to. The sword was taken care of at the beginning of Battle for Azeroth when we used the artifacts to cleanse it. It's not like anyone can pull it out of the planet, so there was nothing left to do.

To be fair, during alpha the story changes monumentously. In Legion Alpha for example, Tiring Fordring was raised from the dead to become a Deathknight. Until the forums cried about it.

YES that fluid shapeshifting might bring me back to druid alone. Every since Diablo 4's fluid shapeshifting, i've been saying: why cant we have that in this??

They said during Blizzcon can't remember if it was on stage panel or interview they said Midnight would have a stat squish.

Was also fun to solo tank mythic bosses as prot pally back in legion cause I had so much DMG reduce and my bubble rotation

So basically I counted 3-4 addons this obliterates the need for. While I will miss those devs and hope they expand to find other comfort things to help us with, I got to think some of them will be thrilled to put down their coding for good. Thank you, addon devs. You carried us.

On the topic of login screens, I'm pretty sure they said in either an official blue post or in the WoWcast, that they're excited for to earn new login screens and poses for our characters over the course of war within as we complete certain milestones.

Would be cool if they expanded on this beyond this expac. If there is going to be a Azeroth Revamp that could give them the chance to add more poses or the like to "Older content" They need to get away from having an expansion system that is completely replaced the next Expansion.

For 9 years I've been keeping a windseeker in the bank on my main which is a druid. It was worth it afterall.

would be kinda cool if you could loot character select screens from old raid and dungeon bosses, so imagine your characters standing in the graveyard in scarlet monastery or something like that

3:22 What about instead of a screen you log in to your Warband "Garrison" and all your alts are roaming in there. You can show items/achievements you've collected throughout your adventures(e.g. things from your mount/toy/gear tabs) and you can swap to an alt by right click menu selection and then like in GTA 5(Warcraft flavored) you zone in to them. You will have portals to every major point of interest(e.g. cities, legion zones etc. depending on character level) and continue your story from there or use your garrison stone that will port you back to where you last logged out for when you are farming that one specific item or the inn where you set down for some well deserved rest.

It's so weird. I'm not excited for delves or for the new zones or for the new race. But boy am I excited for all the quality of life improvements. If they can get their UI where I don't need elvui anymore I'd be so happy

My engineer could easily share materials with my blacksmith without needing to think about how much of what ore I need to send in the mail.

​@@ChinnuWoW well one you can use the mats in the wb bank on any character with out them being your bags. Also there are gear items that warbound think BOEs for just your account. Honestly its quality of life you dont have to look at so many loading screens.

@@ChinnuWoW you can put whatever you like and instant have access to it on alts, plus you can clearly move more things than you can through mail with less headache. plus you can craft directly from the tab itself. its 10 times more convenient then mailing to every alt and playing log in log out whack a mole.

Have they added a BACK button to the achievements pane? It's been incredibly annoying right now doing the DF meta achievement.

QoL is funny, it adds up. I hope it's a good sign. As an aside the distance inhibitor is warband bank access. Initially a 3 hour cooldown, goes down with each max level character. Like how the alt experience bonus on alts goes up with each max level character.

Im really looking forward to War Within, not the story, but the systems!

Item sets can already be seen from any class in the adventure guide. Them adding it to appearances vs the guide makes way more sense however. Great content as always!

With the transmog update, wouldn't that make add-ons like Can I Mog It irrelevant?

Fun to see Blizzard implement systems that have been in GW2 since 2012 which make that game so great

What this game needs, is to get rid of the obnoxious daze effect. it's 2024. Nothing feels quite as tilting as being dazed by some random mob while 1v1 (fyi, daze can't even be countered like normal snares are), or god forbid - getting dazed while flying around.

Sense a lot of this is into collecting transmogs. It would be really cool to see those new sets

Fun thought - We have helped the dragon aspects, they now have new found powers and Nozdormu is still himself... Midnight - We travel the timeways back in time to before K'resh was destroyed...

The way it was shown back in the reveal made me think the warband (and transmog collecting) would be limited to just the four or five characters you placed in your warband. So this is really exciting. My transmog addiction is about to explode. Shared stash with multiple tabs. Warband gear. Omfg.

One question I've always had about Warbands is this : If you can collect any transmog on any character, are they gonna lock old raid loot once per week per ACCOUNT? Otherwise couldnt you just run it multiple times with each character and unlock mogs SUPER fast?

there are limitations though, like tier sets have to be unlocked by their respective classes, so that will slow down acquisition, even if its a per character loot lockout. on top of the basic level of RNG already present on gear drops.

Yeah as said above by Amplify, I don't imagine they're too worried about people unlocking old cosmetics super quickly. Sure, it's theoretically less time you're spending in game; but I'd be willing to bet they'd lose more subs overall from shitty business practices than they'd lose from people having farmed all the transmogs they want.

Ive never been more hyped than I have been for warbands as an extreme altoholic.

OK it's decided. I'm gonna play my druid again in this expansion.

I remember getting all that rep at the Argent Tournament to get a chance to buy that heirloom gear to send to alts. Lot of time and gold. This is a tad bit easier. :)

For tmog collection if you get a tier token does it give you the appearance of every class that can use it? Or do you still need to run it across all your classes?

Forgot to mention Bliz said that the account wide transmog collection wont work on Tier sets. You still need to be on a class to unlock it's tier stuff.

I hope that Midnight will be the Empire Strikes Back of the Worldsoul Saga, the lowest point for our heroes.

idk i love big numbers but i LOVED when it was the early days when you were hitting average 20-50 and then BAM a BIG CRIT of like 200, 300 (just an example). that felt good

I hope they add world quests and world events to the old world. They really need to spice things up for ppl who enjoyed the old expansions and wish to relive it via Chromie time.

the warband/accountwide transmog prog is just so good - overdue but atleast its there now

Flight Form is one of my most favorite things about playing a Druid and they made it mostly useless in Dragon flight because of dragon riding. What does it matter if you can instantly shift and fly away if you're 10 times slower than everyone else who took a second to summon their dragon. Skyride Flight Form should have been added with Dragon Flight. Thanks for adding it... two years late.

More login screen might take some time as they're actually our character loaded in an actual map

I love stat squishes. Big numbers feel too silly and comical to me.

Yeah, I'd much rather crit for 1000 damage than have my autoattacks do 500,000. Give me numbers I can actually read without counting commas instead of zeroes.

Love that you can check other class armor sets for your character. Be even cooler if you could change the race of the model, just in case you were thinking about race changing

Is anyone still worried about the In-between content to major patches? Idc what any youtuber says world quests, the dragonflight fill the pot join the hunt area events were boring and can't be done for more than a week before nobody does them

Little question: i have all plate SL campaign transmogs, does it unlock the same set in mail or leather for my alts?

You only have to buy them once ever per account though. That seems like it makes the cost somewhat justified, as well as the inevitable gold inflation that comes with a new expansion.

It's good to see quality of life changes, of all things retail desperately needs though is a stat squish. If stat values, damage, and healing values were reduced back to something near wotlk numbers the game would feel alot better in my opinion.

Nah, they mentioned that class sets are only added to the wardrobe for the class that gets the loot.

For the new transmog mechanics, does it work if it’s already in your bag at launch? So as I’m doing my weekly farming of Invincible (still), can I keep the gear then have it unlock when War Within drops? Or will it be only new pickups after it starts?

If it's soulbound in your bags when the pre-patch drops, the tmog will unlock. Keep on farming dude. :)

I am actually glad I watched this, becuase ive been feeling a bit lack luster about WoW lately but there are alot of really neat changes here to be fair.

Any idea if the druid flight form will work with the Ride Along feature? I play with someone who really struggles with dragonriding and I hope to be able to use COOL NEW THING before she unlocks regular flying (whenever that happens).

this warband bank is gonna greatly help me control my gold. i sorta have an issue or need with wanting to spend my gold. but the less gold im carrying i think will help me with less of a need or want to spend it.

Is there any news on if they’re going to add hidden sets to the transmog pane? Such as questing sets etc, I kinda wanna do away with better wardrobe and ltp.

A 5% xp boost is a slap in the face even if it does stack, it should be at least 10%, also they should bring back heirloom xp bonuses

Right off the bat im going to say not everyone wants bonus XP. There should be an option to it if thats what you want. I enjoy the journey.

Can we use our warband in follower dungeons?

Question about 4:30, does this mean my dk that *already* has the legendary bow will now unlock that skin for my account? Or will it only apply to new acquisitions?

Bliz has been so behind on the concept of transmogs. Back in Rift they had the same concept but if you could equip it then you could get credit for it. So their plate wearers could get a piece of cloth, equip it, and it would count. I always thought WoW should have done it. But if what you are saying is true, this is taking that to the next level. I had been suggesting making items that drop in legacy raids be able to be traded around your account. You could have it drop as an item that would give you the look without being the actual item and that would prevent people from sending gear to toons that are locked or whatever. But if they're just straight up allowing anyone to learn anything, that's even more amazing. I have two of each class, a horde and an alliance, so I could run and gather all the old tier sets. I'm currently at the end of WoD with most of them and there were months where I would see the item that I need drop for the toon that I wasn't running. I love this change.

I feel like they're turning Xal into blizzards version of thanos. Which im down for.

What abou M+ 20+ key portals to dungeons? Are they gonna be account bound/warbound?

Oakskin is just the amazing talent druids needed too. Unless they change Guardian Druid, they'll be able to get 40% DR barkskin on a 32s cd.

I say all this is great, but my old eyes could really use a function like Voice Over. Why wont they let that add on be made for retail ? Why doesn't Bliz make their version of it? Help a old man out Bellular. ;)

@@taz8ub4 Blizzard can't because they can't officially use AI voices and actually paying for that volume of voice work would be astronomically expensive. Addons don't have that issue because it's all unofficial, non-profit fan work.

Now Blizzard just needs to add an option that allows players to disable all the EXP bonuses. Some people want to slowly enjoy the leveling process, not rush through it. There also should be an option to turn the quest markers back on, if we already completed them on other characters.

I'm going to need to wait and see what goes live. I've been checking in on the 10.2.6 PTR since it came out, and they have rolled back several of the gearing updates that were there at the start. Example - the Dreamsurge vendors sold iLvL 480 gear for the weekly token, and iLvL 460 for coalescence. A week later the token gear was the same, while the coalesc gear had dropped to iLvL 454. I checked yesterday, and the coalesc gear had been dropped to the same as it is now - 415. Clearly they wanted to get all of us geared to the point where we can get into raiding and M+, but at the last second they just couldn't pull the trigger, so take every positive change with a huge grain of salt. It's harder to check on cavern and Emerald Dream gear, but I assume they have rolled it back to current iLvLs as well. The typical Blizz method of heavily emphasizing positive changes, then rolling them back on PTR just before launch with zero documentation continues - zero respect for the player base is still a thing at Blizz.

The transmog change, hell yes. I can finally farm drip for all armor types. Also, I know they said Midnight will be the stat squish but... I feel like it just would've made more sense to start the trilogy with a stat squish, not do it in the middle. Maybe there will be a story reason for it in Midnight that has it make sense. Also hope they have another pass at Anduin's model. Textures are low rez and his GIGACHAD chin needs to be nerfed lol. Hopefully just Alpha things, but dayum.

@@joe77andino brand new ethereal models have been datamined and are up on wowhead, as well as the new S1 Rogue set is based on ethereals.

Im going to call this: Xa'latath is Silver surfer - She is a harbinger because she was strong but not stronger than "galactus" the (Dimentius). After we defeat her she sill think that maybe we are strong enough to kill said void and free her. Etc. etc. some minor changes but that is totally where they are going big picture

Straight up can't wait for Warband. Juggling between my 8 (?) alts is getting tedious, lol

Something that keeps getting glossed over is that account wide transmog collection doesnt apply to tier sets, which is a big reason people run old raid content. Not sure why they cant just make the on use tier tokens boa or war bound. A big oversight to be honest
