Retired in Jamaica and Planting New Seeds for Summer
Today we officially begin our summer farming competition! But first, we begin today with a bit of a breezy morning, as we enjoy our new ceiling fans luxury for the first time. Then, I surprise the boys with a couple of recent purchases before sending off Craig to school. No school for Junior and Dave, as their teachers had meetings to attend. Dave helps assemble some new shelves for the boys' rooms, and the puppy, peppers and chickens are all up and going! Later we head to Highgate to purchase some farming supplies, and I get my first parking experience down a pretty steep hill. We get home safely, and Craig comes home from school. Then, it's all hands in the dirt as we fill our seedling trays and plant our seeds to begin the summer farming journey. Richness is Life.

Afternoon! Sunny breezy day here!😎🤙
Hope you enjoy it in jamaica its a beautiful country
Tyler, may the Lord bless, protect and prosper you always. What you do for these boys will count for eternity. Bless you for the focus on academics. That is so crucial. You ask questions to stimulate them to think critically. That's so crucial for them as future productive men. What you are doing is wonderful. By the way, it seems that Dave has allergies. Please encourage them to speak English as this will help with future integration in society. Blessings❤.
Good afternoon Tyler , Ms Sonia and the boys.

Yes things are expensive for real
Only a person who is bias are unrealistic would ever thing everything in Jamaica is more expensive. The only thing in Jamaica right now that is more expensive than the USA were I'm living is imported items and furnitures.
Great job all.Hopè tomorrow will be just as good.
Thank you for sharing...good luck on your project, guys

Tyler, I don't know but it seems as if even PUPPY is disrespecting you😂😂. By the way what are you using on the peppers to keep away those white flies. They're looking so healthy.

Hello Fire and Irie family, Tyler, may I asked you this question. Do the boys see the comments in the vlog? Wednesday comments was ☹️ I remember as a child growing up ln Jamaica some children did not have a voice. Explanation will be too long. When the children father's pass they choose Tyler and Sonia home maybe they see Dave's living condition is and think this would be the best place for us. There are Pros and Cons in transition for anyone especially children. Not making excuses for their behavior indeed sometimes it is down right appalling. We don't know the back story to these boys lives before Tyler and Sonia. What I observed discipline, foundation starts at an early age, so it's going to take some time for them to adapt to rules and discipline. Also Tyler is in a catch 22 situation. My only advice which is easier said than done. Whatever rules and expectation that you set for them you and Sonia have to be in agreement, and enforce them. Consistency over time equal change. I have faith in these boys its not even a year since they are living there, and also grieving their father's death yes they have feelings too they may know how to articulate them so let us show some grace.I see some changes in Dave since I started to watch the vlog.

Evening Miss Lee! The short version I suppose it yes, they have access to the comments should they choose to want to look at any of them. We do have some discussions about the perceptions and opinions people express and to be honest, it doesn't appear to affect them much. They are very resilient, and while I don't openly point out much of the negative ones, it is a topic of conversation to give them some perspective with the transparency shown in the videos. My goal is that they get an understanding that I'm not the only one with an opinion, and showing them the good with some of the negative can hopefully sway them into understanding others perspectives. They really don't spend time reading through the comments...but it may be good practice for them to begin to do so!? =)

@@fireandirie some of the negative comments are brutal and I personally don't think 🤔 it will help. Tyler as a teacher you know how words can build up or pull down a person self esteem. Thanks for your transparency.

@marvelouslee3284 Yea, totally agree. They really don't read the comments, but it is something that may need to address should it become an issue.🥰🤙
