I like it , good in information. You have to be cereful when renovating a housa. Find very good professionals but some people cheat, but some people cheat. Need information about the craftsmen. Many masters work in Western Europe for their high salaries. In Hungary you have to wait for good workers. Neighbors are helpful, especially in rural areas. 💕

What sort of visa or residence permit does she have that allows her to stay? I was thinking of a retirement visa, though I'm just 50.

Budapest not a cheap city, you need a good deacent income, if you want a comfortable life there.

Depends on what are you comparing it to. Budapest is as developed (or even more developed in some areas) as large west european cities, but it is much more affordable than London, Paris, Barcelona, or any German big city. Public transport is super cheap, and better than most large cities in europe. Internet is super fast and rather cheap. You can find any kind of international food like Vietnameese, Korean, Chinese, Italian, German, Ukrainan, Georgian, Persian, Balkan, American, etc. And they are usually quite authentic. Weather is also quite nice with warm long summers, short and mild winters. As it is located in the middle of europe, you can travel to a lot of countries quite easy.

Tell me please, can a single person make a living in Hungary with an $1,600 monthly income? Do I need a certain amount of money on a bank account? Thank you!

It appears you have to show an income of 10,000 Euros per year. Depending on where you live, 1600 is very doable in Hungary. Thank you for viewing!

1600 usd is good for a nice avarage lifestyle even in Budapest, but in other parts of Hungary even better.

Please pronounce Pest as "pesht"! The Hungarian "s" sounds as an "sh" like "show". The Hungarian letter "sz" is equivalent of the English sound "s".

Thank you Danielle for the great video. Please don`t listen to the mean comments. I`m Hungarian but have been living in the US for 20+ years. I`m not retired and still working remotely. I have been thinking to move back to Hungary but kind of hesitant. One of my concerts is the language. Are they a lot of English speakers? I want to be sure I can maintain my English. Thank you!
