Thank you Torie! That's exactly why I wanted to make this video, because the phrase 'targeted resume' is said so often but the actual instructions are rarely given.
This is really essential career advice! You can get a lot of customer service experience from retail, which then translates into great people skills for any role. Nice work, Stacy!

Super organized and easy to read Stacy, great video! Totally agree on building people skills via a retail job. I'll add to that by saying serving in restaurants will build those skills ten fold! I had 2 retail jobs out of high school then spent 23 years in hospitality before starting my own business. Serving is a tough industry but any customer service is a must for sure!

I felt the same way throughout undergrad- glad you agree!
I agree! I used to do recruiting and we used to place people in retail positions. Now I teach marketing and sales and my clients who've had retail experience tend to do better at sales because of exactly what you just said - they know how weird humans are lol.

what is a good resume to apply at best buy i don't know what to write ? i'm applying for stocker but i dont have job experience im 18 trying to get my first job.
Where do you find the ATF software?
Wont it reduce action words in resume using the ATS software?
lly queen i am so stressed
What about people without any experience? I been applying with out success and I don’t know where put keywords 😕

If you don't have any paid work experience, you can definitely put class projects/volunteer positions in the "experience" section! Let me know if you have any other questions :)
