It's surprising to hear Woolworths can only ban criminals from one store. It's amazing how criminals have so many rights in this country while retailers and victims have so few rights.

Just call it for what it is.... Stealing to Order or to pay for your Meth habit or because you think you are entitled.

If the police don’t lift up their performance in attending shoplifting crime, then security guards should have the power of arrest. Shop owners have been abandoned by the police courts and have no way for protecting themselves.

Woolworths have certainly made it easier to steal with the self help counter. I have seen people walk out with trolley loads without out paying but hey - at least they swiped them!

First up a supermarket is privately owned space that people don't automatically have a right to be in and retailers can refuse or put restrictions on entry - such as people can't enter unless they agree to their bags being checked, wear appropriate attire and so on. Doesn't a retailer have the right to refuse service provided they don't refuse service because of race, gender or other protected characteristic? Wouldn't knowing that a person has a history of shoplifting then be a reason to simply refuse or restrict service? Why the need to rely on trespass law?

    Don´t worry Woolworths.... The clowns have established a ´´Ministerial advisory group´´ to...... ´´tackle the issue´´.... 🤣

This criminal behaviour has nothing to do with "poverty", it's social training where you are a victim of something if you say you are and it is always someone else's fault. Both governments wear some responsibility because they have fostered or allowed to exist bureaucracies that have been instigating policies and regulations that are actively breaking down our society.

We have no right to defend ourselves and our property. Self defense using reasonable force is not a deterrent.

Only trouble is the rest of us are paying for this sort of behaviour, with increased prices. I'm sure WW won't be out of pocket. 😡

Super value and fresh choice are both lies, if they weren’t so greedy people might not need to steal, prices are the highest they have ever been for no good reason other than greed.

"If they weren’t so greedy people might not need to steal".... I think you will find that in many of these cases the "need to steal" you are referring to is not to feed a starving family, but rather to keep their meth pipe filled up. How many times have I heard of the most expensive cut of meat these thieves have been allowed to walk out with being sold on the side of the road etc.

They are not "clientele" they are thieves. Do you feel this is an issue Woolworth's have "brought this upon themselves" by selling alcohol??
