That eBay thing happened to me before as I was selling a game on eBay I never received the payment via PayPal , turns out it was because it sent the money to my eBay email address which was different at the time from my PayPal address... In the end he got refunded and sent me the money to the correct address and I sent the Game. Sometimes things like this look like scams but a lot of the times it's eBay doing weird stuff

What do people do to these phones?! I’m glad you take the time to fix them.

This is probably one of the best restoration considering it’s a device someone has worked on, I loved how you took your time and effort to repair this device, as for refurbishing iPhone screens. You should on a new iPhone or Samsung restoration if they have a working lcd and make the restoration more challenging

my 6s is refurb too and used to have a fake battery and would lag when the battery hits 20%! Ever since i replaced it with an original one (battery from another 6s, 85% capacity) it stopped doing that. besides the battery, the cameras have also been replaced (both cams) and also the housing itself. the frame is also broken because the left pentalobe screw keeps falling out so i just taped it in

There is no way of removing an iCloud lock, at least without swapping or reporgramming the chip that cotains the IMEI.

If it's not charging it could be your port, your battery, or a chip called "TriStar" on the logic board which controls charging. All are repairable by someone like myself. :)

hey, ive got a question. so my refurbished iphone 7 recently said that i had no service (with a warning triangle infront of it). so i went to some store, and explained the problem. so they said that i had to reset my phone to the factory settings. i had to do it from my pc -> itunes and then reset it. so i did that, and now i cant even unlock it! i can power it on, set my country + lanuage, but whenever i try to configure it, it doesnt go to the configure screen, but it says: Activation failed, you need to update your iphone to activate it. so basically my phone is even more broken than it was before, i cant even unlock that shit!

I wish I can be as good as you for fixing things

Hey Hugh, how exactly did you figure out wether or not the iPhone was not iCloud locked when you purchased it? Did you use an IMEI checker? I know that Apple has taken down their utility to determine if iCloud has been removed as of about 2 years ago.

iFixit.com documents which screws come from where. You may notice that Hugh uses iFixit tools. Sometimes I feel like this channel is an ad for Crazy batteries and screens, but the do make great quality, great value aftermarket and refurb parts and Hugh doesn’t name them.

What was the suction cup device you used to get the damaged screen off?

My iPhone 6S refuses to turn after i left it on charge for a bit. The people at the workshop say it's a board problem and they are charging 75$ for it. I cross checked with another workshop and they said the same thing. Please give me your opinion on this.
