I’m Back!
Here’s a full start to finish ASMR version of a commission for Foxtrot Uniform - Reconstructing an original pair of ’85 Metallic Blues and reconstructing them into the ultra rare Metallic Purple color-way.
Cleaning and conditioning the leather while maintaining the 37 year “patina”. I replaced old liners, foam, collars, swooshes and tongue. I was unable to reuse the original tongues and collar liners because of wear, as originally planned. These are refitted with the 2021 Jordan Court Purple outsoles that have been dyed in coffee, as well as the original thread, which has been waxed as well.

this 53 minute video felt like it was 5 minutes long. what an unbelievable amount of time and detail put into this full restoration. definitely the best jordan restoration/custom i've ever seen in my life

@danielmiller3627 shoe doc doesn't take shoes like this and completely rebuild them so let's give credit where it's due. Shoe doc is great at what he does but this is a different level and doesn't compare

Hands down best restoration I've seen. You brought these back from the dead and the cracked purple leather is a thing of beauty. They're restored so perfect that they look like they've never been touched just aged naturally. Beautiful Beautiful work👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Real craftsmanship, looks absolutely stunning!! The only thing I personally would’ve done, was slightly staining the new shoe tongues. Keep uo the good work 🙌🏼🙌🏼

Excellent video and excellent work. My only suggestion for you is maybe get a leather sewing machine with compound feet. That vintage Singer you are using just doesn’t have the piercing power, and you might just wear it out trying to sew leather. You can get a vintage Singer leather machine for less than $500, and they have lots of extras for it on the open market. If you have the $, you can get a Brother leather machine (that’s what I have) that will sew anything. Once again, great work and I look forward to seeing more of your work.
